If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

**Water temperature Note***

To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

Concerning the Film.(Disregard if this is not an issue)

This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner. There are a few out there, Try Dishwasher Magic.

My dishwasher is now leaving my dishes cloudy. What causes this?

Make sure that the rinse-aid(jet dry) container is full. If it is full have you noticed if it's level has not dropped. It is possible that the rinse-aid dispenser is plugged. This will cause the dishes to be cloudy. You can also try running the dishwaher empty and add a cup of vinegar to the bottom before your start. There is also this stuff called "dishwasher magic" that you can try running in the dishwasher to clean it. Try using a soap with the rinse-aid in it or install a basket with a rinse-aid tablet and see if that helps clear up those cloudy dishes.

Every time i was my dishes in the dish washer they come out with a cloudy film over them

you need to add some drying agent to your dish washer, it helps them to keep from being cloudy. I do not think it is a mechanical problem.
