Epsom Stylus Photo R300

When I load the CD tray to try and print a CD label I keep getting the message that the tray is not loaded correctly and to reload and press the Maintence Button. The Ink cartriges pass over the top ot the label but do not print on to the label. Any suggestions????????

Thank you for your comment. My problem was so simple I could kick myself when I think of the solution. The solution was so simple -. I moved the printer away from the window where I had the printer located thereby giving the tray room to travel out of the back of the printer. The window sill was not letting the tray travel far enouth thereby giving me the paper jam error.

Yes I had a similar problem and in fact returned my printer for a replacement. You need clearance as the CD tray emerges some 2.5 to 3 inches behind the printer. If the tray hits an obstacle it is unable to correctly line up for printing and the trat is rejected

Paper just keeps feeding through no printing & green light just keeps flashing. How do I know when paper is loaded correctly

Hi,

It could be a problem with holder shaft & Rollers. Turn off the printer and clean the rollers with lint free cloth.

make sure you shuffle the paper before placing them in the tray and stack the paper tray properly for any loose connections.

Ron

Epson Stylus Photo R300 Inkjet Printer When I try to print on a cd/dvd I line up the arrows hit print but it keeps telling me to close the cd/dvd tray, there is no way it will print with this tray.

The cd/dvd tray door has a small opening on right edge. Inside there is a slide switch. Use a toothpick to see if it is stuck. Check where it closes to the main body. A thin strip protrudes out to mate and close the plastic actuator of the switch. The door may not be closing well enough the actuate the switch. Make sure it is fully closed and retry to print. Also, there will be a small click as you raist the door before it snaps into place. If not, check to see if there may be some debris causing it to not actuate properly.
Good luck,

Stops printing cd half way

It seems your printer cannot seem to recognize the CD tray. Purchase another CD tray. You can try compassmicro.com.

Epson stylus photo R300 cd/dvd tray not set correctly

I had the same problem. Restarted the printer. Reinstalled the drivers. Scratched my head ... nothing! then I moved the printer away from the wall - problem solved! I can't say that this will work for you but if everything else is working, as it was and still is on mine then it's worth a try.
What I didn't realsie was that the cd tray comes out of the back of the printer when it's checking the alignment. I had inadvertantly pushed the printer back, too close to the wall. Moved it forward slightly and it's fixed.
Hope that solves it for everyone.

Hi hope to help.
if you slide the ink tray to the left (to do this you may need to turn on the machine then off again when the tray starts to move un plug the printer from the mains!!) look under where the tray was on the right hand side you may see a clear rubber pipe? on mine the pipe was split i just cut the split then reconected it now works fine hope it will for you!!
Hope that helps you!!. Sean.

Error message "tray set up not correct"

I had the same problem. It's easy to fix.

Simply pull your printer away from the wall about 8". The tray needs to stick out from the back of your printer when it loads. If it hits the wall, it will not work properly and eject. Just try moving your printer forward enough so the tray can stick out from the back and you'll be fine.
