Hello,

Go to our web site at : www.ccl-la.com/ and click on the printer service section. We have a walk thru that will get you back going. The problem you have is caused by air in the ink feed tubes and the repair guide will show you how to do a feed tube purge.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

There is an ink system faliure and model is hp photosmart c7288 all in one and i do not have cartridges , i have bottles of different ink and the error code is 0xc18a0105

The error that you are having is a hardware issue, it means your printer is really of no use anymore. Believe me, there's no use going through troubleshooting for this one. Call HP and just Upgrade your printer. HP Printer Tech Support would be more than happy in giving you discounts and an extra year of warranty for $1.00.
Regarding the ink cartridges that you have note yet used. HP has an Ink Exchange Policy wherein you just have to send a request of exchange in one specific email address, and hp will exchange your cartridges for the new printer that you have.

Run out ink error warning message

are using a refilled cartridge?
if yes, install an actual brand new one.

are you using an official cartridge that you've had laying around for a while?
the cartridges expire so check if your cartridge has expired and replaced accordingly.

Ink system msg comes up in all print scenarios

I would un-install then re-install printer software ...then make sure the hp is set at default ....it probably wouldn't hurt to unplug the printer and let it sit fir a few minutes then once the software is loaded add your power first then with an active computer re-connect your usb and let the system find the printer . hope this helps !

Ink system failure - printer documentation error 0xc18a0105

Okay basically you either need a firmware update or you have air in your lines. If your unit is in warranty call HP for an exchange. If not the your kind of in a pickle. It will cost you to get the firmware update and there really isnt much to do for ISF. I do not have a purge command for that model. I am sorry.
