i had the problem of my brand new washing machine not taking the conditioner and the customer service advisor rightly guessed that i was using concentrated liquid and advised me to dilute it with warm water then put it in the drawer because sometimes the liquid is too thick for the machine to take.try this!!!!! regarding the powder why not put it directly in the machine or buy tablets and do the same with those

SOURCE: ed25rfxfw01 whirlpool fridge water dispenser ...I have a slow drip from the dispenser hose. I assume I need a new water inlet valve. How do I access the inlet valve for replacing?

It should be on the right hand side in the back take off the compressor cover on the back should be 8 or so 1/4 screws nutdriver type and then two more hold on the water valve. If you have a RO system hooked up to refrig you may need to change the filters on the ro or just change the filter on the refrig. those two will also cause the water to drip thru the valve allowing it to drip on the front

SOURCE: We have a Whirlpool K40 Ice Maker but it seems to

a few things to check, first off is adequate water supply(obviously).. next check your drain system, if your unit gravity drains look for a blockage, but if you have a secondary drain pump to pump away water check for proper operation, if that pump fails the machine will no longer let water in( thinks it full and no need to produce more ice if it cant get rid of old water

The water to my whirlpool freezer and ice is not coming out. american type ?

I would check the water inlet valve the coils may have gone bad test them for ohms and for voltage

The water inlet valve is operated by line voltage supplied through the ice maker control. Power is applied for approximately 7-9 seconds during the harvest cycle and energizes the solenoid on the valve to allow water to flow.
You can check the solenoid for continuity with a multi-meter. On models with multiple solenoid inlet valves, you will need to determine which portion or portions of the valve are used for the ice maker. You can normally follow the inlet tubing from the ice maker back to the valve. Unplug the refrigerator and turn off the water supply to the valve before working with this part.

(HOW TO TEST INLET VALVE: Inspect the filter screen where the supply line connects. Remove any debris or deposits that may have built up using a toothbrush or warm running water. If you cannot clear theclog, it will be necessary to replace the valve (the filter is not removable on most inlet valves). Test thewaterinletvalve for continuity using a multImeter. First, inspect the coil for an indication of it's ohm rating. If no information is printed on the coil, then use the range of 170 to 500 ohms. Set the multitester to the ohms setting X100 (if available, otherwise use the nearest ohm setting). Place a probe on each terminal. The multitester should display a reading that matches the coil's rating or if you don't know the rating then it should fall into the range of 170 to 500 ohms. If the water inlet valve does not pass this test, it should be replaced. If the inlet valve has two coils, test the second coil in the same way (note that they may not have the same ohm rating). The valve can also fail mechanically. So even if it passes the electrical test, it may still require replacement. If you have ruled out all other possibilities, go ahead and replace the valve.

Check the tap valve.A bad tap valve-the little device that connects the ice maker's water supply tube to the water pipe-may cause the problem where the ice maker's supply tube connects to the water pipe. If necessary, replace the inlet valve and the tap valve. For the tap valve, use the type that requires you to drill a 1/4-inch hole (as opposed to the "self-piercing" type). You can buy anice maker connection kitand do this yourself, or call a repair person or plumber to install an inline water filter when replacing the valve.

Water keeps running and the ice maker isn't making ice

The ice maker will not make ice with the water running in contently this keeps the water temp to high. Turn machine off, cut water supply off to machine, remove water inlet valve, ether take valve apart and rebuild it or replace the water inlet valve. Reassemble in reverse order and machine should make ice.

Whirpool awm5100 machine not getting rid of washine powder in despenser only filling water alittle then stopping cycle

The most likely fault is the water inlet valves are blocked or only partially opening , pull off the pipe coming from the inlet valves and put the machine into cycle the flow of water should be full of the pipe and at mains water pressure, if this is not the case replace the inlet valves. Thanks tk

I wonder if there is a blockage or an air lock in the water feed. Can you disconnect the feed and get someone to blow down the end of the tube connected to the fridge as you press the switch? While disconnected also make sure that there is a flowing supply out of the feed pipe At least you'll have some fun and you might get nearer finding the fault! Isnt it obvious whether the inlet valve is opening, surely you can hear it working?

Not making ice; ice appears to be stuck in maker

Hello,

If I got the issue correct your whirlpool refrigerator is not making ice. I would request you to please do the following steps to resolve the issue.

Disassemble an icemaker:
  1. Unplug the refrigerator.
  2. Remove the icemaker's front cover by unscrewing or prying it off as needed (refer to the owner's manual for specifics).
  3. Remove the ice bin, shelves, and vertical partition.
  4. Remove remaining screws, disconnect the icemaker wires from the harness connector or socket, and remove the unit from the freezer.
  5. Remove the back access panel (see Fixing a Refrigerator) and any fasteners that hold the inlet valve to the refrigerator.
Service the water inlet valve:
  1. Turn off the water supply at the saddle valve on the pipe.
  2. Disconnect the inlet valve from the refrigerator (see above).
  3. Unscrew the tubes from the valve, letting excess water drain into a bowl.
  4. Unplug the wires from the valve.
  5. Use a multimeter on RX10 (resistance times 10) to probe both terminals on the valve solenoid. An infinite reading means the valve solenoid is bad; a reading of 1,000 ohms or less means it is probably good.
  6. Remove the plate and filter screen from the water inlet. Wash a clogged screen with a toothbrush under running water. Replace the screen if it is rusted or damaged.
Hope this would resolve the issue:

God Bless.

New install

The machine is suppose to start filling, then after 45 seconds or so turn on in the harvest mode then when the temp gets where the sensor says its suppose to be it starts to freeze.

If water keeps coming out the over flow the water valve may be stuck open and this is why you can't make ice its letting in warm water all the time. Try turning the water off to it and see if it freezes a batch. If so replace the water inlet valve or remove and clean it

Water does not shut off and overflows my whirlpool washer

Heres a way to check your pressure system. Disconnect the pressure pipe at the bottom end and turn off the water supply to your machine. set a program and operate the door switch manually. the inlet valve will buzz as it tries to take water. blowing up the pipe should shut off the valve which tells us the system is working. if this is the case then there is a blockage somewhere.
wouldnt usually reccomend this but from your post you seem as you know what your doing.
