I don't think we have any refrigeration experts. If you want a pro tech answer head over to www.justanswer..com
There are no wiring diagrams available and there is no service manual. There are however videos on replacing ice makers. You might be able to freeze at the plug.
Just about every appliance I've ever owned or seen has a copy of the wiring diagram stuck to it someplace or folded up and tucked into a crevice someplace in the "service tech" area of the unit. Have you looked around the unit itself?
I need you to look around your ice maker for a package containing a wiring diagram. I have information related to the Whirlpool 15 inch and 18 inch ice makers but for some reason GE did not publish the repair manual for your model. I want you to check the voltage going into the WR62X10015 Transformer
You should be getting at least 120 volts ac. Then test the voltage coming out of the transformer. What is the voltage coming out of the WR62X10015 Transformer? Check the control board area for a fuse that goes to the WR62X10015 Transformer Check for loose connections going to the grid or broken wires on the grid itself. WR29X10073 Cutting Grid Assembly Here is a link to the GE Monogram Technical Data The Whirlpool and the GE Monogram Ice Machines are basically the same thing other than part numbers so I am linking to the Click Here=> Whirlpool 15 inch and 18 inch Ice Machine Service Manual I will be here to answer your questions so please let me know should you have questions, More information can be found HERE Thanks Sea Breeze
I hope the manual is a big help in resolving the ice cutting problem and please ask should you have any questions. The secondary side of the transformer should be showing a least 8.5 volts ac. Let me know if you are able to find the problem, Thanks Sea Breeze The 18 inch ice maker takes the same grid transformer as the 15 inch model.
a few things to check, first off is adequate water supply(obviously).. next check your drain system, if your unit gravity drains look for a blockage, but if you have a secondary drain pump to pump away water check for proper operation, if that pump fails the machine will no longer let water in( thinks it full and no need to produce more ice if it cant get rid of old water
Check the water hose. Is it kinked? Is the screen clogged. After a while minerals build up and could have clogged the intake making it hard to get the water necessary to make the ice,
