You should create a playlist. Or start at first song, select it, and let it run from there. Make sure it is not set to random

It's all to do with tagging the ID of your music files. A lot of MP3 players index the music by the information embedded within the file. To see this information, right click on a music file and choose properties, go onto the advanced button of the summary and there you have all the info (artist name, album name, title etc.). If you want for instance one folder on your mp3 player called 'Pop Music' then each track that you want your player to show in this folder should have the album name of 'Pop Music' etc etc. These little mp3 players generally don't read the windows folder structure, so you can be as organised and tidy as you like with your folders and the files within them on your computer, but when they are loaded on to your mp3 player, they aren't in any kind of order at all.... frustrating!! Fortunately, there are many free apps out there that do it all for you.... Hope this helps

How do I delete 30mbs from my sansa clip the message is: not enough space for music DB. Please free 30mbs

Hello,

The player needs free memory to build its database for playlists to playback.

To free memory on your player:
1. Connect to a computer
2. Save a backup of (preferred all) songs to a location on the computer
3. Delete some files off the player to free at least 30 MB memory in the Sansa Clip

Use the manual for how to connect and delete music files.

Hello,
  • First you could try to RESET the Sansa Clip as next:
>>>
1. Turn the player on (shortly switch the power switch up)
2. Slide and hold the power switch up for 15-20 seconds
3. Release the power switch
The reset is completed
<<<
4. Shortly slide the power switch up
Check if the player functions normally again.

  • When the reset does NOT help next steps will be required:
>>>
1. Put the player in MSC mode: this way a computer recognizes the player as a removable disk.
How to put the Sansa Clip in MSC mode:
1.1 Turn device OFF.
1.2 Slide the Hold switch down to Lock (orange color showing).
1.3 Press and hold the center button while connecting the device to the PC.

2. Backup the media content on the player to the computer.
Connect the player to the computer and backup the files to the PC,
exploring "My Computer" in the removable disk.

3. Perform a firmware reinstallation / firmware update.
Use next link for updating the Clip's firmware:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/300/related/1
The Sansa Firmware Updater execute file is mentioned as installer
for getting the matching updates for the Sansa Clip.

When I download music and want to save to Sansa Clip, it saves in "shuffle" mode. The MP3 files are not in the order I want. I can't seem to make it stop doing that.

Sansa Clip user manual:
http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/UserManual/CLIP/CLIP_UM_English.pdf

When using Windows Media Player while synchronizing there is an extra option "Shuffle what syncs".
Page 14 of the pdf file [= page 12].

Seeing Sansa Clip in WMP on the left side:
1. Right click on the player
2. Select "Set Up Sync..."
3. Deselect the box "Shuffle what syncs..."
