I've had my treadmill for a good while now(about 6 years) and have used it A LOT. However, now it just stops on me after about 35 minutes or so. The controls continue to run, but not the belt. Have I just worn it out or what?

If the treadmill slows down or cuts off when warm it is probably a worn or dry walk belt.Lift the edge of the walk belt and feel the underside of it about 1 inch from the edge, now compare that to the underside of it in towards the middle where your feet are stepping on it,if that area feels alot more frayed or fuzzy the walk belt is worn. Now rub your hand on the platform surface where the walk belt rides, you should feel a wax film on the platform,if not you can purchase treadmill wax from the manufacturer, retailer or on-line.Apply the wax under the belt in towards the center 2/3 of the belt area, that should be done whenever you don't feel that wax film when you check it.

An LS 6 error on a Bowflex treadmill - I put in a new speed sensor and recalibrated. The tread stops moving but everything else keeps working. I can turn it off for a minute and turn it back on, it will...

Sounds like the speed sensor may be intermittently losing the speed signal. You use a business card slipped between the pulley and the speed sensor to set the gap- push the sensor against the card, then remove the card. That should insure a good speed signal.

The tread on the treadmill seems to be slipping when in use

How long have you been using your machine? If you've given it a lot of use, you may need a new belt. See Treadmill Parts

My treadmill runs for 15 minutes than stops for a minute than start up for 10 minutes than stops, than start up

It is designed to be able to be restarted after about 5 minutes. When it stops, wait 5 to 10 minutes, reset the circuit breaker. Of course you still have the same problem.

The motor contoller board is most likely overheating do to friction, so you're going to need to lubricate the walking belt(this should actually be done every 6 months) you can order a kit on ebay for about 15-20 bucks, it's called " lube n walk ", and no, I don't sell it, but I use it on the treadmills I service.

I recomend you loosen the belt one full turn on each side before you lube the belt, apply the lube and run the treaadmill for one mile without anyone on it and then let it rest for a while.

After that give it a try. if the belt slips, then tighten it back up one turn, but don't over tighten it.

I also recomend using a single outlet surge supressor.

That should solve your problem.

My question is, last night, I set the speed to 5mile/hr, the treadmill automatically stopped after 12mins( the belt stop, power was on). and I can not restart it immediately, Then after 5 mins, the belt...

A treadmill will shut down from to much friction which is due to high motor current because the walkbelt and deck are not properly lubricated. I would recommend replacing the motor controller, walkbelt, deck and applying .5 oz of lubricant on the deck every 3-6 months or 100 hours of use. This will extend your treadmill's life many years.

Own a Nortic Track apex 4100i. Great treadmill.

You need to have the power supply board rebuilt with larger Caps and resistors. Look on the internet under treadmill repairs. The board is easy to replace yourself so don't have someone come in and overcharge you. I think about 4 screws and two plugs.
