Bought TX but have no desktop software cd

any brand. Use a CD-R- disk.

There are lower and upper filters that can be deleted in the registry. It needs to be done by someone who knows how. This will fix 90% of cd drive problems. The only other thing is if the drive crapped out completely. There is a version downloadable. For computers without cd drives and norton has the USB versions out. Always check with staples easytech in temple TX or AnyMHz.com computer store for help.

Have you tried to reset the TX?

First, save your data:

then reset:

While holding the Power button, use the tip of the stylus (or a similar object without a sharp tip) to gently press and release the RESET button inside the hole on the back of your device.
The RESET button may be somewhere else on the back of your particular device.
First you'll see a palmOne or Palm logo and a progress bar. Keep holding Power.
Then you'll see a grey circular Palm PowereWhen the warning appears, press Up to confirm the hard reset.
If a language selection screen appears, select the same language you selected for your desktop softwared logo. Now you can release Power.

Then sync it to you PC.

Hi, HP use Sonic software to burn CD and work with the CD DVD writer. If burn CD using Sonic soon as the CD burn complete the CD will auto matic will eject just turn the up side down and push it back you can burn the text or image to the CD label. I have 3 HP desktop and that's the way I used to burn CD and Lightscribe labeling.

You have to either get a retail licensed version from ebay or your local store. The Windows versions are not free. If you have the CD, then it's best to contact Microsoft.

Or you can install something like the Ubuntu Linux system. That's what I'm using right now and it's free!! =) Download for you here. Choose the defaults, choose your area of download. Burn to CD, boot to CD and install. It uses OpenOffice and other free software. It's great.
