My Bissell Carpet Cleaner 34T2E won't suck. Any ideas? My carpet produces a lot of residue, but I clean this out so I doubt that to be the problem

Make sure all the tanks are seated properly and everything is clamped down. I found that if everything isn't sealed it won't suck. Also be sure the red filter is clear of debris. You can hear the difference when everything is clamped and sealed. Hope this helps.

That means that you need to replace the pump belt. Here is the belt you need and a manual you can view:

SOURCE: Bissell carpet cleaner

I have owned three Bissell cleaners and experienced clogged hoses each and every use. Do not put carpet cleaning solution in these machines. They are not designed correctly. If you have a tough spot, just use some liquid dishwasher detergent and a scrub brush. It will get almost anything out! Try it! Then, use the Bissell with hot water only to clean up any detergent residue.

Why won't my Bissell Carpet cleaner 34T2E suck? My carpet produces a lot of residue, but I clean that from the roller area.

Make sure all the tanks are seated properly and all clamps are securely clamped. I found that if it's not all sealed tight it won't suck. Also make sure the red filter is clear debris. You can hear the difference when it's all tightly sealed. Hope this works for you.

My bissell prohear 2x carpet cleaner won't suck up the water from the carpet.

i just finished shampooing my carpets with the same bissell and i too was having problems with it sucking up water first make sure you have the plastic front part on correctly even if it looks correct check it, it might not have latched on right, next try the handheld if that works. then in the bin where the formula and dirty water go open it and there is a little red filter make sure its clean of debris, that was my problem and now its working good luck

Will not **** the water off the carpet.

If the carpet cleaner won't "Extract" water from the carpet, try using the upholstery / hand tool. If you have suction there, your selector switch / knob is either in wrong position, or broken. There may also be a tear in the hose on the inside of the cleaner, or the waste tank is not sealing well.
