Question about Bissell ProHeat Turbo Deep Cleaner Upright Steam Vacuum
When I turn the dial to normal and wet the carpet I assume the water should be picked up when I am not pulling the button and am moving the vacuum toward me. When I finished there is NO dirty water in the tank (thus why I think the machine in not pulling the water out). Do I have to use the rinse cycle as well and if so, is this when the dirty water is removed from the carpet? Thanks
If unit is not picking up solution it is most likely the small red plastic filter that is just above the small float door in the top piece just left of the tool switch.. pop it out clean muck out of it and it will work like new again.. have fun!!

IF THE RED FILTER CLEANING DOES NOT WORK, THERE IS LINT CLOGGING THE PASSAGE AROUND THE DIAL THAT YOU CHANGE FROM TOOL TO FLOOR CLEANING. YOU WILL NEED TO FLUSH IT OUT BY RUNNING HOT WATER THROUGHT IT WHILE TURNING THE DIAL AND SHAKING VIGOROUSLY ON OCCASION UNTIL THE LINT FLUSHES OUT. GOOD LUCK.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Yeeeeeee Haaaaaaaah!!! I have looked through site after site after site and this is the most helpful! Yes,I found the little red small plastic filter, cleaned it out and it sucked up water like a champ! Thanks again to gmost for your expertise. LadyC

We had this problem last night - checked the belt, cleaned the brushes, etc. It worked fine on sucking up with the hand tools, but would only **** up with the vaccuum part when the unit was in the upright position standing still - i.e, when we would tilt back to begin moving forwarding the suction would stop.
The user guide doesn't tell you this part in the trouble shooting section.........
The red door thing - that supposedly closes when the tank is full, or if the unit has hit/knocked into something, actually has a filter on it.........the filter had a bunch of debris in it..........we cleaned the filter and the machine is back to working like a charm!

Its not sucking up water bcuz the tank is not sitting on that black seal properly... If u push down on the tank u will see the water began to come up move ur hand it will stop flowing... Your welcome ;)

We tried the above solutions, and although helpful, they still didn't solve the problem. Then we took off the clear shield that surrounds the tools/floor switch and reseated it more carefully, then screwed it back down. That did the trick! Suction was being lost there because after removing that plastic piece to clean it, we did not re-seat it well. Hope this helps!

Cleaning the screen by the little red float door worked for us! Thanks for the suggestion!

I have the same problem the water will not **** up what do I do
I have the same problem but I think that the water and cleaning product are comming out on to the carpet.
Everything work just fine until to get ready to **** up the water there is no suction it seem to be clogged. How do you unclog this steam cleaner?
I have the same problem. Worked fine for years and now won't pick up the water.
We have The Pro Heat Turbo x2 does not sucktion water off surface, we has have it for several years but had hoped it would work for many more yrs.
Same Problem. Not picking up the dirt. No dirty water at all. Any solutions at all?
i cant find the red filter
I've experienced that if these things get hot, like from being stored in the garage, the tank can walk and you lose the seal.
Should say warp, not walk
