Hello, Carole -

It means it is time to descale (remove the calcium build up) your coffee maker.

Look in the owner's manual for your coffee maker and follow the directions for descaling it.

Is your machine a Bosch Tassimo My Way coffee maker?

If you do not have the owner's manual for your coffee maker, click or tap on Comment and add the maker name, model name and model number there, so I or someone else can try to find a free manual for you to download.

Best wishes.

SOURCE: coffee machine leaking

You say it is dropped on the front side of the tv but how come it come from the back of the tv. It must be spreaded. While coming to the back side hope it didnt damaged vital elements of the tv. Anyway don't open it until you clean the internal organs. Later need to be opened under the supervision of a technical person.

Red light flashing on my hot water tank control

1 flash every 3 seconds means the pilot is lit and the gas valve is working normally. A solid red status light means the water heater is shutting down. Turn the gas control valve OFF and wait 10 minutes before attempting to relight the pilot

I have a Braun Sensor model 3092 with two quirks. The machine brews coffee great, but I'm curious about 1) the strange, pitchy hum and 2) the Calc light stays on despite having cleaned it.

Yes I can under stand this you have done descaleing but you have not done descaleing in the proper way very thing has its sequence let take dolce gusto by pressing for few seconds the power button it will blink in green this means that the machine is now indescaleing mode when you're done you simply press the power of in this case you have told the machine that you want to do descaleing and after this the internal computer is reset to normal this is why you machine is still blinking because it had not been reset

Service manual

Perform a full descale. Take out the water reservoir and remove the Anti-calc filter. Put in 500ml (1 pint) water with 3-4 tablespoons of white vinegar (or apple cider vinegar). Put the water canister back in, the turn on the machine and press the manual button. Allow half of the liquid to go through, then stop. Leave the machine for about ten minutes, and then run the rest through. Empty the water reservoir and rinse, put back the Anti-Calc filter, put in another 500ml and press the manual button to flush it all through.

What do you do when it says calc. on the display?

Calc is indicating that it's time to descale the lime build up inside your coffee maker. Most machines are easily cleaned by running a solution of 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar. Run this solution through a regular coffee cycle (no coffee). After running this solution, you may want to run straight water once more to ensure there's no vinegar aftertaste. Your machine will now be clean and the CALC message should disappear. If not, post back with the Model # of your Krups coffee maker for further instructions. Some machines have a Descale or Self Cleaning option built into them.

Descale button not lit, but the machine has been in use for 2 years and manual says to descale. All steps have been followed: solution is in machine water tank. Program is set to FILTER NO/HOLD. ...

You've done it all correct but before you add the solution (making sure to remove the filter), try holding the descale button down for over three seconds. As long as the FILTER NO is your filter setting, this should work. You may want to try to descale more often in the future but hopefully this helps you get started NOW. Best of luck!

The display reads CALC.

I have a Krups model FME4 and it means that you should descale the machine. Here's a link to the use and care instructions for my model, I assume it would be the same for yours.

My problem is that CALC continues to display even after I've descaled several times. Good luck with yours.
