We have the above washing machine which is fed with hot and cold water, But due to moving the machine to another room we no longer have hot water pipes in that room, is it possible to only fill it with cold water and seal off the back of the machine were the hot water should enter? Then use the machine with just cold water?

You cant seal off the inlet, but you can get a Y adapter, its a hose that splits into 2 outlets. They are most often used to hook up steam dryers but will work for wha you need, this will allow you to use it but it will not get the best cleaning results

Try checking the inlet solinoid , should be 1 for hot & cold, sometimes the solinoid will freeze up due to alkaline buildup .try soaking it in CRL , alkaline deposit desolving liquid .

Hot point aquarius 1100 - does this have a heating element for cold water feed ? or does is need direct hot water feed ? (there is a inlet at back for both hot and cold so presume no heating element ?)

All Hotpoint washers have heater element regardless of whether they are cold fill only, or hot and cold fill.
if 2 connections at rear, then it is hot and cold fill, if only 1 connection, then it is cold fill only.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Clothes wont dry but gets really hot

Hello, sounds like your cold water feed hose has got a kink in it. The machine needs cold water to condense the steam. Just pull out the machine and slowly slide back into place.
