Re: The machine starts, even the vent, but no image...

  • Plug the projector into the wall and put it into standby mode. You should have already replaced the projector's lamp with a new LMP-P200.
  • Press the "Reset," left arrow, right arrow and "Enter" keys on the projector's control panel. Press them in the exact order listed here, one after another, and press each key for less than five seconds.
  • Turn the projector on with the "Power" button. Press the "Menu" key to enter the projector's menu settings.
  • Press the down arrow to navigate to the "Install Setting" menu and press the right arrow to select it. You should see the lamp timer at the bottom of the screen. If you have correctly reset the lamp timer, it will indicate 0 or 1 hours.
  • Press the "Menu" key to exit the menu system.

How do i fix a monitor that sometimes just turn off by itself and turn on after being cut of the elec. power?

There are settings for the sleep (power saving) modes that came with Windows updates.
Some of our monitors also shut off the power indicator light when they go to sleep.
Solution: Check the power saving settings in Windows.

IBM Wheelwriter 6 powers up, then beeps. No lights, changed batteries. What is problem?

I have an instruction manual for IBM Wheelwriter 1000. The troubleshooting page in my manual for the machine coming on and having no lights is to make sure the cord is securely plugged into the typewriter and the wall or power strip and to switch the machine off and back on. Mine has a power saving mode where the lights go off after a while to enter power saving mode. I only need to touch a key to turn it back on.
    Hope this helps - Cindy

The lamp light is blinking once every 5 seconds. The manual says that " Lamp will not light or light is abnormal"

    HI,

Panasonic PT50LC13 lamp indicator blinks to tell you the lamp is faulty.

You need to replace the bulb or TY-LA1000 lamp assembly. This link displays all Panasonic TV Lamps and TV Bulbs. This page shows Panasonic lamp location and How to Replace TYLA1000 bulb. TY-LA1000 Bulb Replacement requires the use of a long Philips Screwdriver to reach screws within the lamp cage.

Unplug AC power before removing the lamp and re-install all doors, etc, correctly before starting the TV. Vacuum any visible dust or lint from air vents and lamp area. Do not used forced air to blow out dust, big problems may result.

The user's manual has a description of what the Blinking LED indicators mean.

My ps3 just powered down during a game and we tried unplugging it and turning it on and off but all that happens is the red power light comes on so we turn it on. The light turns green then automatically...

Leave it to cool down and always keep your machine well ventilated. It has a protection against overheating and it will shut down by itself. Clean out the vents with compressed air then vacuum out the rest as best as you can just by sucking whatever you can out of the vent holes.

    Serger won't start

Try unplugging power from outlet and removing from machine also. Let it go without power for a few minutes then try another outlet. Hopefully it has not had a power surge. It is best to keep unplugged when not in use..

Eee pc won't turn on (I think have already posted this, not sure)

Sounds like a classic case of hardware failure!!!!!!! possibly your motherboard, start by removing the battery, hard drive and optical drive.
disconnect the laptop monitor and connect the laptop to an external monitor.
remove the memory modules clean the brass contacts with a eraser and place back in the machine 1 at a time to check to see if they work, remember to plug in the AC power suppy, if you see the post screen then its a memory issue and you can then reconnect your laptop monitor to see if it lights up, if everything works but the monitor then its the inverter or backlight that has blown and is easily repairable saving you money on a brand new screen
