Question about Sony VPL-HS51A / VPL-HS60 Multimedia Projector
How Do I reset timer of Lamp on My SOny VPL-HS60 Projector? Please Help me.
To reset the lamp timer:
1) With the projector plugged in and turned off, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button to put the projector in 'STANDBY' mode. NOTE: You have to press the button on the projector itself, you cannot use the remote for this step (this is not clear in manual).
2) Now, using the remote, press the following keys in order: RESET, <--, -->, ENTER.
3) Timer should now read '0'.

How Do I reset timer of Lamp on My Sony VPL-PX15 Projector? Please Help me.

Hi, I tried the simple "Reset" <, >, Enter" option to reset the lamp on my vpl-HS60 projector. The yellow warning "time to replace lamp" is now gone. However, the timer still shows 4,400 hours. Is the projector broken? Also, I have tried to use a new aftermarket replacement lamp from www.electrified.com and the picture is incredibly dark and muddy. Any advice on why this is happening from a new replacement lamp?

I had the same problem with a VLP-HS50 and tried all the above and more but still would not reset. I then left it in standby came back 30mins later just pressed (reset,<--,-->,enter ) it then reset.

I have the VPL-HS60 and just turned my projector off, as soon as it was in standby i pressed reset, <--, -->, enter; turned it right back on and it was reset. I had to reset because it everytime I turned it on it said to replace the lamp cause it had 3000+ hours on it. i could clear the message, but it was annoying to do everytime I turned it on.

I often wonder what drunken monkey designed that - put it as a menu item you freaking idiot.
That said, so far, my piece of junk hasn't been able to reset the stupid counter / remove the stupid notification for the last 2-3 years that I've had the device.
My first question I would ask on buying a new one is "Have they fixed this yet?" No? Maybe another company has. This is stupid beyond belief!
So, I guess my solution is to buy another brand?

According to the manual, you need access to the RESET button, the left and right arrows and the ENTER button to clear the counter. Press the following in order for less than 5 seconds each:
RESET

The above sequence should clear the counter.

how Do I reset timer of Lamp on My Sony VPL-PX15 Projector? Please Help me.
It is NOT working on my VPL-HS60.
I plug in the power cord and then the projector is already in 'STANDBY'
mode (I don't have to push any buttons for that?). When the projector
is dark and just glowing red from the 'STANDBY/ON' lamp, I press the
suggested remote control buttons, but... IT DOESN'T WORK! :-(
I have also tried to turn the projector ON and THEN OFF AGAIN by
pressing the button on the projector itself. Thereafter followed the
suggested procedure above, but still my lamp timer is not affected!
Does anyone know how to really reset the lamp timer on a Sony VPL-HS60 ?
I have done all of this and it does not work.
and also it is not working sony vpl-dx102...
