If your printer is not responding, try to do the following troubleshooting below:

1. Go to run type net start spooler & hit enter.

2. Also check for printer port in printer properties.

3. Another thing, you can refresh your system by turning it off and unplugging the cable from power. Press the power button for 4-5 seconds. And put back the cables and turn the printer back on.

Please check

1. Do you have a printer cable failure?

The printer will not be printing if its not connected to the computer. Check that the printer cable connecting your printer to the computer is firmly attached at both ends. Apart from this cable, there should be one more cable which is the one connecting to the wall outlet.

2. In case it still not work after checking try resetting and printing.

3. Else please change the Data Cable if it is very old one.

Upgrade your ram and clean the registry. this will fix your problem, generally almost all this problem's related to Memory, so first upgrade your Ram to at leat 512, i recommend 1 Gb. Good luck.

Please perform the following steps:

1. Unplug the power cord from the unit.
2. Press and hold OK and Cancel buttons together while plugging in the power cord back to the unit.
3. Turn on the unit.

If the issue persists, please replace the unit. From my experience repairing coast HP OfficeJet 7310xi is almost equal to the coast of a new printer.

well try to reinsatll the printer driver and also chek for obstruction.if problem persist contact HP

1.Please check in Printer n faxes whether it show both the printer HP 1500 series and HP Desk jet 3800 series.

2.If the printers are listed, in the solution center you will find two printers listed, by default it is set to Deskjet printer. Select HP 1510 printer to use the scanner feature.

Try installing driver by wizard.

1. Try downloading the vista compatible printer driver from the hp website.

2. If the above solution doesn't work try uninstalling the printer software and reinstalling it.
