I turn on my tv then it turns off it wont stay on it stays on for avfew minutes then turns off

you may have a convergence problum if your convergence ic,s are shorted, you will need to check the convergence fuses in the power supply.

Just repaired one of these for this exact problem... Lamp is most likely defective, which is a Xl2100u lamp Sony p/n# A1606034b about $175.00

you can reset the tv to factory default settings , but before that I need more info ab manufacture date and purchase date you can find the first one on the back cover, if the tv has more than 5000 hrs of use problably the lamp, filter or fans can cause this problem, hope it helps you . let me know
