I would check the power supply for bad capacitors. The caps look like small "barrells" AND THE END WILL BE BULGED OUT IF THEY ARE BAD. Very inexpensive rapair if you do it yourself, caps are around $2 each.
From what it seems in your question... the problem has already went away... However, I actually know about this. There is a fuse inside the tv near the power button called B-3a... If you replace that fuse it should help fix permanently
