Joystick broke After a month of careful use of the creative zen v plus, the joystick broke after normal use in 2 and fell into the player. I'm planning on sending it to creative cause it would cost me approximately $50 to $100 since I would have to send it overseas since I live in Australia and pay for the fix. I'd rather buy a new player. How do I open the player to retrieve those 2 pieces to super glue it back together? There seems to be no apparent opening.

Exact same problem after 1 month of light use, except outer white part of joystick fell outside of the case, so can still operate stub with fingernail. Is there a replacement part???

Joystick top piece broke in two and fell inside. I removed front bottom covers but I need a replacement part. Where do I get one??

Same problem. My pieces fell off-so can still use it-but it is difficult when my fingernail isn't long. Anybody know where to get replacement? I figured if I could just get the little cap I could stick it on myself.

Hey im having an issue with my zen V plus mp3 player! When I plug it into my computer, the computer doesnt recognize the player and says it is not connected.

What I did was turn OFF my zen C plus, and as soon as I turned it back ON, i held down the play/pause button, the back button, and the select button/joystick. this brought me to that menu that offers unloading the firmware and rebooting and so forth. I selected the first option, which scanned the player; then I rebooted it, and not only did my player read on my PC, but ALL my music came back too! It was sweetness in its form.

Mp3 players stuck on line in recording

I had the same problem. I opened my zen V plus and noticed that the recording switch did not have the proper tactile feedback, which means the spring is somehow jammed and the contact blade can open or close the contact randomly. I scratched away the top half of the plastic casing (which was abnormally soft) and removed with a tweezer the tiny blade that closes the contact. I refit the whole thing back together and it works fine. Obviously the voice recording function is gone, but personally, I don't care...ht tactile feedback (spring not working properly. So I decided

Can't delete pictures or music

O.k. I have the same exact Zen V-Plus as you, so I know how to delete them. But it doesn't tell you in the instructions.

Now go to photos. Use the joystick to choose which picture you want to delete, then press down on the backspace button. You'll have a list of options; to start a "slideshow", "delete picture", or "set as wallpaper". Scroll down to "delete picture", click it, It will ask you if you are sure about deleting it, press yes, and wammo! Your picture will be deleted.

My zen. it's frozen.

"If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
