Door on washer will not open

"In washing in the HE washers I think that if you have more than 3 loads a week you should maybe wash your washer at least once a week. I have started wiping the door off and leaving it open between washing and that helps a
lot with the smell. This is why I think if you could wash the washer once a week it would probably do better. You never had this problem in the old washers." Try this in your washer.

restart the unit...coz if running dont try to open the door. unplug the unit and start again.

This worked for me. I turned off the washer and hit the area on the washer directly to the right of the door handle (not hard enough to break something or cause a dent). It popped right open.

My GE Energy Star Front Load Washer is reading 5.9 instead of 59 minutes and not washing clothes. We cleaned the filter and still no luck. Please help.

I unfortunately was not able to get the service manual for this machine but as far as I remember there is an internal fuse in the bosch nexxt.
Will be lokated where the power enters the machine or on the control board.

Check and ensure that the tubes and passages to the water level pressure sensor are not blocked by caked detergent, lint , etc.
( this may have caused the water overflow in the first place)
clean up the internal parts that are wetted by the overflow.

clean the door lock mechanism. ( this normally works on a temperature delay mechanism, if cleaning does not work, replace)

all the above done with the power unplugged and water inlets unplugged , of course

We had a similiar problem. It was mildew in the washer and in the fabrics. We ran two or three empty loads with some bleach added in, and we leave the door open so the drum dries.
The towels and clothes we hung out in bright sunlight. The UV rays kill the mildew.

Potential reasons for it: - Door Lock/Switch Assembly Failure - In this case it should be replaced. - Door Lock unit is broken or removed from the door. - Look for disconnected wires to the door Lock/Switch unit. - Door Lock/Switch unit Failure First disconnect the machine power cable from the wall socket. You should remove machine's top cover and then you will have an access to the door lock unit.
