Is there an on line manual for the Smith Corona SC110 Electric Typewriter? The carriage return moves to the right and will not return to the left side of typewriter.

If it returns with the express key the latching mech. on the rt. side is probably gummy. Take off the case, get some WD40 and spray the mechinism that latches the ret on the rt. side below the platen.

The tab button may be stuck or the carriage release lever is stuck or a broken escapement.

I have been unable to find a site where you can download a Smith Corona typewriter manual. However, you can try going to Will Repair Service. They carry manuals of every Smith Corona typewriter ever made, and you should be able to find a manual for your particular typewriter there. I find them to be a very helpful and trustworthy typewriter shop.
