Error code F7 normally indicates a fault with the flow meter. This is located inside the plastic tank, on the left side of the machine.
1. Unplug the appliance.
2. pull it out (if under counter).
3. If it's a freestanding model , remove the top. Then take off the left side panel.
4. Locate the plastic tank, on the side of the tub, is the flow meter.
5. There is a small plug attached to it. Pull the plug off and plug it on again several times. This should clean up connection which may have become corroded.
Put it back together and try the machine again.

Displays "F7" and a continuous

If your Maytag range displays the "F7" error code, it means that the programmed fault error 7 occurred with the range. Luckily the error is easily fixed in most cases and requires no new parts.

Identification:
Once the error appears on the range it is usually followed by seven loud beeps to represent the number. Clear the error by holding a button down for a minute. The LCD will flash and the code will disappear.

Effects:
The most common cause of the "F7" error is a stuck button on the LCD panel. Look around the range control panel and examine to see if any buttons appear pushed in, stuck or out of place.

Prevention/Solution:
Take a damp rag and light wipe around the buttons to clear out any grease, food particles or sticky substance that may have built up around the button. Attempt to use your range and see if the error appears again.

Considerations:
If the error continues to appear, there could be permanent damage to your electronic range control. Contact your Maytag dealer for warranty information and replacement parts.

Keep us updated.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F7 error code is displayed when the clock assembly/electronic range control (ERC) goes bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

It's most likely that the error code you are seeing is F1, not F7. F1 is a code for 'stuck touch pad'. You will need to replace the clock/ERC or the touch pad (or both).

I have a GE Range model JBP85. I have an error code F7. It appears the clock key is stuck. Is there any way to unstick this or any other key? The key pad is expensive to replace.

Hi, Error F7 on your oven means that the keypad is shorted or stuck and to resolve this issue you'll have to replace the Electronic Range control (ERC).

Error F7

Microwave will not operate (cook). F7 error code
appears on the display.
Electrical circuit interruption between L1 and Neutral in
the microwave inverter circuit.
Possible reasons:
1. Check door, hinge and cavity front alignment and adjust
as needed.
2. Check the operation of all interlock switches.
3. Check over temperature protector for the magnatron.
4. Check all Cavity Thermostats for closed circuit.
5. Unplug the oven for at least 40 seconds. If this solves
the problem
A. Check the Cooling Fan for proper operation or
blockage
B. Check the resistance of the magnetron thermostat.
It should be 0 Ohms, replace if necessary.
6. Check that the control cable to the 1100 watt inverter
is properly connected to plug P2 on the display PCB
& Adjust or Reconnect
7. If interlock switches operate correctly, replace 1100W
inverter.
8. If problem persists, replace control assembly.
