Bottom Freezer door handle

I also have the Kenmore Elite Bottom Freezer Trio.
The handle on the bottom freezer is loose on one side. I can't seem to see how to open the panel to tighten it?
Any ideas, short of calling a serviceman.

Thanks.

I had the same problem. It took me an hour to figure out that the bottom freezer handles clips onto the door using butterfly clips. To tighten the clips you have to remove the handle by sliding it to the right (or left??) It snaps right out with a quick **** exposing the clips underneath. A quick tightening of the clips and the handle snaps back in.

How to remove freezer door handle

There should be one or more hex shaped keys within the door handle, usually on the side or bottom of the handle. Simply loosen them up and the handle should pop right off.

Handle is loose on refrigerator, how to tighten the handle

There should be some small Allen (Hex) screws on each bottom side of the handle. Just use a Allen wrench and tighten it up.

1 year old Kenmore Elite Trio Refridgerator not cooling

There are a lot of things that could be the source of the problem... is there no cooling at all going on in the freezer? Is the back wall of the freezer cold? It could be anything from a fan, to the compressor, to the control board... you need a technician.

I would get on the phone with Sears, and explain the continuing problems you have been having, and they may agree to cover service.

Sears trio elite ...french doors with bottom freezer...right side loose on freezer door handle...thanks

I have the same refrig. After taking the freezer basket hinges off, thinking I had to take the whole door a part to access the screws for the handle...my husband figured that the handle probably slides off...and yes that is just what it does!
Push the handle in a bit and then slide to the right. It takes a little bit of effort but that handle will come right off. Then you can tighten the screw that holds the clip in place. Then you line the handle back up to the clips, and slide to the left. Good Luck!

Elite trio

Hello bigmikeegator
Welcome!

You said, you have the Kenmore Elite Trio Bottom Freezer. You moved your refrigerator to a new home and removed the bottom freezer door, but can not seem to figure out exactly how to put it back on correctly.

It's too much for me to tell you myself.
This is easier!
