I suspect the water valve is not shutting off complete enough and is leaking by out the dispenser. You will likely need to replace the water inlet valve, accessed from the back of the refrigerator.

SOURCE: the Water dispenser is leaking water

It's either a bad water valve or the switch in the dispenser is stuck.

SOURCE: Kitchen Aid Superba refrigerator

had the same problem. Turned out it was a worn out valve that controls water distribution. Remove the back panel. There is a (in my case) blue part with one water line coming in and two water lines coming out. This houses an electromagnetic control which directs water either to the dispenser, or the ice maker. I took it apart a few times, and didn't see anything wrong, but ordered a replacement, easily switched it out and viola! No more leak. Ordered the part online for less than a repair visit.

SOURCE: ice build up under rolling tray in freezer

Yes you are right there is a drain tube in the middle of the coils. You need to remove the back panel and you will see the coils of the evaporator (freezer) and right underneath you will see drain tube. Now more then likely it is plugged with ice so take some regular table salt and two or three teaspoons on the top of the tube opening will break it loose and start draining. Take some regular tap water and pour down just to flush the tube and inspect the bottom collection pan under the fridge and see how much water is coming out. Be sure to have unit turned off when you do this cause the fan will run inside the freezer compartment other wise. Hope this helps you. ken

SOURCE: KitchenAid KSBP25FKSS Side by Side Refrigerator Ice & water dispenser ondoor not working

I had the same problem and had to have the entire door replaced. I thought it was a random thing since sometimes it would just start working again, but finally it just stopped for good. The wires that
are below the door on the left hand side (you can see them better when the lower front piece is removed) were severed and they can't be put back together without replacing the door. My repair guy (the refrig. was still under warranty) told me it was a design or installation defect and that he has seen it time and again. Evidently, when they install the wiring, they don't leave enough room to stuff the wires out of the way of the closing door and eventually, it severs them over time.

Water leaking onto floor from underneath unit, instead of into the water reservoir.

It's not unusual for a refrigerator to drip a little water on the floor after you replace the water filter-air trapped in the water dispenser system can make the water dispenser drip enough to overflow the drip tray below the dispenser. You can fix it by streaming a gallon or two of water through the dispenser to eliminate the trapped air.
If water drips on the floor from the back of the refrigerator, a leaking water inlet valve or cracked water system tubing could be the cause. A clogged or cracked defrost drain tube could also cause the leak. Defrost condensate water collects in the drain pan at the bottom of the refrigerator so a cracked or overflowing drain pan can also cause water to drip on the floor behind the refrigerator. Check the drain pan for cracks and clean out any foreign objects that may be inside the drain pan.
Excessive frost caused by a leaking door seal can also cause the defrost drain pan to overflow. Check the door gaskets and replace them if damaged.

Water dispenser lever is broken

On my FRIGIDAIRE MODEL: PLHS69EGSS side by side
1st, unplug or turn breaker off for refrig. 2nd, remove the slide out drip tray, 3rd, remove the 3 bottom screws at the bottom of the dispenser bezel (behind the drip tray). 4th, remove the bezel (slide up about 1/4" and pull forward, gently), WHEN DOING THIS BE VERY CAREFUL YOU DON'T ACCIDENTLY UNPLUG THE CONTROL BOARD FROM THE MAIN BOARD. 5th, remove the 3 screws holding the dispenser mechanism in place. 6th, remove the water dispensing hose from the dispensing mechanism., 7th, carefully unplug the power supply to the main board. hold down the clip to do this. 8th, with the dispenser out, remove the water dispenser lever plug from the coil board, 9th, remove the 2 screws for the metal hold downs for the lever pivot.
Be SURE YOU LOOK AT HOW THE SPRING IS LOADED. OTHERWISE THE LEVER WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY.
chances are, you will have difficulty removing the water hose from the dispenser unit. I did. I also had a harder time trying to get it back in. The factory hose is pretty rigid and I figured there mus be a better way. I had some 1/4" clear hose from home depot. I got a piece of 1/4' tubing and made a splice from the factory tubing to the clear, flexible tubing. The flexible tubing allows you to have additional tubing to play with and makes the job much, much easier. good luck

Water dripping sound coming from new refridgerator

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan. This is the only source of water if nothing else is connected. Are you seeing and water anywhere.

I have a leaky spigot what can I do

If the spigot means the end of the water tube in the water dispenser, and it steadily drips even if the dispenser is not used for 10 minutes or so - replace the water valve. If the dispenser drips water mostly wright after you used it - you might have some air bubbles in the refrigerator water tubing.

Water dripping from ice maker into auger tray

Almost definitely... If there is a big icicle hanging from the fill tube on the icemaker, that's the problem.

If you have a water dispenser on the door, try switching both the wires, AND the hoses on the solenoid valve (it should be a dual valve). If your water dispenser starts dripping, you have found your problem. It's located at the back of the refrigerator behind the lower panel.

Water Dispenser Drips

Had the same problem after replacing over seven water valves and installing a water regulator in the water line to the refrigerator with no help. Had to reduce the water pressure to about 27 pounds the reduce most of the drips. It drips an amount about the size of a quarter and when the water gets the coldest it stops the drip, but there is always a droplet at the end of the water disperser tube.

The problem is with water stored in the refrigerator side of the box. Water come in and does not leak. After the water gets colder it expands and oozes drips from the water dispenser. It is worse with the roll of tubing behind the crisper drawer on the bottom, because there is no room for expansion in the tubing. We replaced the tubing with and older style tank and it helped some, but not completely. The solution is 1. Try to buy a refrigerator with a tank instead of the roll of tubing in the bottom of the refrigerator side. 2. Don't use the water dispenser. 3. Reroute the tubing directly to the water dispenser and bypass going into the refrigerator, the water will not be as cold. 4. Avoid those built by Whirlpool.

Water dripping from the water dispenser on freezer

If the water is dripping from the dispenser tube, you need a water valve. The valve is not shutting off completely. Check to make sure water is not dripping from ice chute. If the chute door doesn't seal off you will get moisture there and it will also frost up the ice chute.
