Water dispenser is leaking.

The water dispenser has a slow drip, enough that it fills the little drip tray and drips water down the front of the refrigerator. Any ideas on how to fix this?

SOURCE: RF266AB, 3 months old, water dispenser continues

The unit comes wih a one year warranty, if you call Samsung they should send a tech to your home free of charge for that first year of ownership. I don't think for the amount of money you would have paid for this fridge you should not be completely happy with it. The problem is that air is getting into the water lines when you use the dispenser at one of the connection points in the water lines. This creates extra pressure so the dispenser spout keeps dripping. you can follow the lines to each connection and make sure they are all tight or dial 1800Samsung to schedule an appointment.

SOURCE: Water dispenser drips on my Samsung side by side.

That really has to be bothersome! I can imagine a leaking roof and pails and buckets everywhere tying to collect the water. On your refrigerator the problem could be related to a defective water control valve, air in the water lines like after adding a new filter and having to purge the air out before the water flows freely. You mentioned lime as a element in your water supply and sounds like you may have well water. Lowes or Home Depot see nice in-line water filter to pre-filter the water before getting to your refrigerator. As for the water control valve tat may be stuck open like a dripping faucet, it may need replaced. Try to see if turning the water supply off to refrigerator before refrigerator and see if water continues to drip. If yes then I belie a new dual water control valve will be needed. Let me know what happens and do get a pre-filter they are really helpful, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Samsung RS267TDRS Refrigerator -- no water coming

The most common reason water stops are 1. The water line has frozen, but its not the part in the freezer door. Behind the crisper bins in the fresh food section, you might not see it but it behind the back wall. Heat up that area with a hair dryer, or if its not full shut it off for 24 hours and it will do the trick. 2. The pump that sends the water to the dispencer is dead, it will be located behind the ref lower left hand side behind panel (follow the water line) part # DA74-40149D, you can order it at marcone.com for about 27.00
Good luck, if those dont work let me know

SOURCE: The ice maker in my samsung fridge is putting too

Either the icemaker support is broken, DA61-02205A or the ice tray is damaged or has lime buildup. The ice tray is supposed to twist when it flips: an off-center stud on the tray is supposed to catch the support, while the tray is still turning. If it does twist but does not release ice - replace or clean the ice tray, DA63-01453B

Good luck,

Water leaking onto floor from underneath unit, instead of into the water reservoir.

It's not unusual for a refrigerator to drip a little water on the floor after you replace the water filter-air trapped in the water dispenser system can make the water dispenser drip enough to overflow the drip tray below the dispenser. You can fix it by streaming a gallon or two of water through the dispenser to eliminate the trapped air.
If water drips on the floor from the back of the refrigerator, a leaking water inlet valve or cracked water system tubing could be the cause. A clogged or cracked defrost drain tube could also cause the leak. Defrost condensate water collects in the drain pan at the bottom of the refrigerator so a cracked or overflowing drain pan can also cause water to drip on the floor behind the refrigerator. Check the drain pan for cracks and clean out any foreign objects that may be inside the drain pan.
Excessive frost caused by a leaking door seal can also cause the defrost drain pan to overflow. Check the door gaskets and replace them if damaged.

When water leaks from the dispenser like this it will be caused by a defective water control valve that will not shut properly when off. The leaking water is the same as a leaking faucet. The KSCS25IN uses a=> W10247725-Water Control Valve or HERE

Not making ice

The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.
The valve can leak because of sediment in the water preventing it from closing or low water pressure.

Water leaking from icemaker on outside

If this is your water dispenser leaking
Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

Water Leaks from bottom of machine as coffee is dispensed?

I had this same problem. Open the front door, remove the dreg drawer and then remove the brewgroup. In the back you will see a pipe sticking down with an o-ring gasket on it. Below that is a channel and a little opening where rinse water is supposed to flow into the front drip tray. It gets clogged with grounds pretty easily. I filled a hose with some water and stuck it down there and blew through it until you can see water come out the front hole. It's a little hard to describe but I hope this fixes your problem, it did for me. I just have to do it once every couple months.

Lg wm1812cw front load washer

We had the same problem- for us it was because we were mixing laundry booster (Oxyclean) with liquid soap in the dispenser. It seems the water running through the tray had insufficient pressure to properly flush the tray out, so residue accumulated on the back & underside of the tray. Our water pressure is good here, and we don't use a water softener or filters that can reduce the pressure. Unfortunately it seems to just be a bad design of the soap dispenser tray.

We also had a problem with water/bleach leaking from our soap dispenser- when we used the bleach compartment in the dispenser we got leaks dripping onto the floor from behind the front cover of the washing machine. It was running down the front of the washer behind the front cover & coming out onto the floor. The repair guy said this was because the dispenser tray was pulled out too far, but the reason we were pulling the soap tray out so far was because the bleach compartment was too far back in the tray to use if we didn't. Now we just leave the drawer partially closed & pour the bleach directly into the soap compartment along with the soap.

Something leaking from dispenser frame

You can remove the frame around the dispenser by pulling it gently and then you access to the screws that hold the dispenser in place. Could be a spillage behind the frame. Good Luck.

Washer tub slowly fills with water

Is your problem a SLOW FILL problem, or a problem with WATER DRIPPING FROM THE RUBBER DOOR SEAL - or BOTH? If you have a slow fill problem, this is generally caused by a bad fill valve, which can be attributed to hard water deposits or well water mineral deposits. Sometimes the fill valve can be removed, cleaned and reinstalled, but most of the time a new fill valve is required. If you are experiencing water leaking from the rubber door seal (bellow), it may be time to replace it. Sometimes the seal can develop a wrinkle or crease where it meets the glass, which can cause leaks. Water dripping from the door when you open after washing a load is normal. Water dripping during a load is NOT. The bellow may also have started to rip or tear inside the door which may not be noticeable until you pull the folds of the bellow back and look underneath it. I hope this helps.
