Try the following:
1. Power down the device
2. AFTER it is COMPLETELY powered off (can take up to 2 minutes), unplug the power cord from the wall.
3. Wait 5 minutes with the machine unplugged.
4. AFTER 5 FULL minutes have expired, plug the machine back in and turn it back on.
If this fails to restore functionality please call for service.

This may sound like a joke but its not. While the 5030 is still booting and says 75% on the screen just unplug the power cord and wait a few seconds then plug it back in. It should boot then. If not, try it a couple more times.
This step will delete all pending print or copy jobs in the job queue, and then perform a reboot.
To execute: simultaneously press and hold the 6, the Stop, and the Power Save buttons on the Control Panel while switching on the power. Hold the buttons down until the boot up screen (5 circles) appears and the second circle starts to blink.
If it doesnt correct the problem the network board ESS has failed.
