I hate to say this, but chances are either the software is corrupt or one of the two drives has failed. Your best bet is to call for a xerox authorized technician.

If by chance you are one, download the firmware from xerox and perform the altboot/forced upgrade solution in the manual. Even if it fails it will generally tell you which drive is bad. You can tell by when it fails on reload, copy control or network control. You'll need a new 160gb sata drive that is comparable with the machine, or order a firmware matching set of drives from xerox.

Windows xp startup problem

You may need to "wipe" or reformat your entire C drive to be able to install Windows program again. I would suggest installing WIN7 program as WIN XP is at its end of life cycle for that operating system and Microsoft may not support it any longer.

If possible try installing WIN7 once again, and if requested to reformat or do an entire install, choose YES.

WIN 7 should then reformat your C drive, erase everything that is on it and then install as WIN7 program.

Be sure you have your program license key to install WIN7.

I have an inspiron 6400, and when i start the laptop i get the dell screen and the bar running across then just a black screen, i have tries using all of the options of F8 and F12 but none of them do...

Your computer is not booting up and it can be either software or hardware problem. You can check out the software part by trying to boot it with the original OS CD/DVD. If it does boot then you will need to reinstall windows by using the repair option by following the on-screen instructions.

If it fails to boot up then its a problem of the hardware. It could be as simple as cleaning the ram modules or more complicated, hence I would advice you seek help from their authorized service center.

My fiery EXP 12 not booting what can I do to fix this problem

You should be able to plug a monitor into the fiery. Do that and turn off the machine and fiery. Then power up and watch the monitor and see where it hangs. If it doesn't boot up you may have to get a Xerox technician in to restore/ugrade the system software for the fiery.

DELL inspiron 6400 not switched on

This is a no boot issue. Youre saying that you can perfectly run the PSA diagnostics but doesnt load Windows rather it stays on black screen, meaning the boot loader of Windows failed to load. You need to reinstall windows on your computer

I have a desktop dimension 6400 and it goes to black screen i pressed f12 and went thru every thing and pressed enter it goes back to black screen

Sounds like you are having a boot issue with the hard drive.

Try booting to your XP CD from the F12 menu and running CHKDSK /F from recovery console
