This information comes from the User Manual on pages 111-112:

Internal paper jams on this machine tend to be in the two-sided printing accessory.

To clear a paper jam from the two-sided printing accessory:
1. Turn off the printer
2. Press in the tabs on the left and right side of the two-sided printing accessory, and remove it by pulling out from the center of the printer.
3. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. If the paper has torn, check the rollers and wheels for small, torn pieces of paper
4. If it's still not clear, open the two-sided printing accessory by pulling up on the tabs, and remove any paper stuck inside it, then close the accessory by pressing down on the tabs until they lock into place
5. Replace the two-sided printing accessory by pushing it forward until it snaps back into place
6. Turn on the printer, and verify that it works by pushing OK to continue the job it jammed on.

Hp 3740 says it has a paper jam...no paper in it. rear door has been checked and replaceed.

You might have a small piece of torn paper caught up inside. Try feeding and manually ejecting a new piece of paper through it You might have to take a flashlight and look inside for a bit of paper.

Hi

Please check paper tray cover, make sure it is close. Check also the feeder sensor button and make sure the paper it reaching the sensor button. Insert it correctly. The problem with this out of paper is the paper is not place good. or the tray cover needs to be closed or the sensor button is not touching the paper.

I went to copy a sheet of paper this morning and my copier worked. Then i went to copy another page and i got a paper jam, and then System Error E000 appeared, and now i don't know how to fix it.

There still might be a tiny piece of paper caught in there. Take out the toner, and if you can open any panels, check inside those too.

Hope this helps

Paper jammed message won't go away

Presumably this error follows an actual paper jam (whether the culprit has admitted it or not). The following is general advice that applies to paper jams in most printers, copiers, etc.

In my experience at least 98% of paper jam errors are because a piece of paper is still caught inside the printer. The remainder are generally due to a damaged paper jam detector (usually a small plastic arm which actuates a switch inside the printer) or less commonly a failure on the PC board which senses paper jams.

Please return to point 1 and look (again) for a piece of paper jammed in the printer. If the jammed paper was torn from the printer, only a small remnant has to remain inside the printer to generate an unclearable paper jam error.

Switch off the printer at the wall and unplug it. Remove the paper tray from the printer. Check to see if the printer has an access door in the rear to allow you to see inside (open it). Open any other external flaps (eg. manual paper feed tray) that will allow you to see inside. Open any internal flaps or levers designed for user operation and usually indicated with a green or orange coloured tab. Occasionally a page can wrap completely around a roller and be very hard to see. Be very suspicious of any 'white' roller' - check at the ends to note if the roller is actually a different colour with a complete page wrapped around it (generally then only removable by tearing other than complete disassembly by a professional). If paper was torn you may need a pair of tweezers and some determination to remove any small paper pieces wedged inside the printer. Ensure the printer is unplugged from the wall and avoid damaging any rollers or other parts inside the printer. Always remove jammed paper by pulling it in the direction of normal travel only. On rare occasions very serious paper jams may need expert service to dismantle and reassemble the printer.

After finding and removing all paper pieces, return all levers, flaps, doors, paper trays etc to original positions, reconnect power to the printer and test.

When I try to print, the printer says there is a paper jam but there is no paper in the printer. The paper doesn't seem to feed.

This happens when there is something that is trigger the sensor, you will have to clear it out. Even if you look inside briefly and see nothing, there might be a small peace of a partial the is triggering this. Give a good clean out, a very common issue that i came in contact with recently, if you used transparency paper or labels these can get caught on the internal roller, effect the paper jam sensor. This can be very hard to visually see because the paper is thin and clear. I hope this helps, if you would further help please contact me.

I Have Canon MP600. The paper twists when I start printing copies. Ihave cleaned Paper Feed Rollers. It still twists paper When printing.

You need to look down inside where the paper goes, I use a flashlight and small mirror. I find things like candy, screws, gum wrappers, caught way down where they are hard to remove.
