SOURCE: How to remove the scanner unit on Canon PC1060

you sould not have to remove the scanner unit to clear a jam in the fuser

open all doors and remove anything marked green

remove the the cartridge assembly if it will come out

open the fuser section (usually a release that takes pressure off of the fuser rollers

remove the paper feed cartridge

you now should be able to follow the paper feed path from the time paper goes i until it comes out

if you are not sure of path take a piece of card stock and simulate it goig through feed ara

there are small microswitches/ poto eyes that sense paper lok for an small pieces also clean thes poto eyes with q tip and rubbign alcohol

reassemble

unlug from the wall then plug back in and turn on p roblem sould be solved

False Paper Jam Signal Canon MF5730

Try changing the quality of your paper.

Roughen up the rollere guides a little to you get better grip. Clean rollers with alcohol and use a green scrub mit to lightly rub the surface of the guide reels.

Where is the fuser on a canon L170? Can I change

It'slocated on the rear of the unit and is a stinker to remove. All of the external covers must be removed and the frame must be separated to remove it. Lots of piecews and parts. Not for beginners.
