Magenta ink cartridge does not function properly

I replaced the Magenta/Cyan ink cartridge twice and still have to with the first, open the door to access the cartridges and shut it and then print, and with the second, shut off the printer and restart, it prints once and then the process has to be repeated. In both cases the Magenta light comes on, the first it blinks and the second it does not. The test prints are excellent showing no problems.

SOURCE: ink cartridges

Go through your standard print procedure. File>print then look for the properties button which is usually on the top right of the window. Press Properties and look for either Printing in B/W or grey scale. That should prevent your color cartridges from printing. After you check that box, you should be able to print black only.

Why does my photos art C6230 all-in-one keep saying I need to replace the black ink when the back shows 100%? The printer says it is using colors to make black print

If the machine is just using magenta, yellow and cyan to make black then you get brown, not black, (that why you have a black image unit, because YMC will not make black, color system issue. unless the machine is using yellow, magenta, cyan, then black. Are you using 3rd party toner or OEM cartridges? Did you replace the cartridge before it was required?

No. Just buy original carts and install them. Run the manual cleaning procedure twice. Wait overnight and repeat the manual cleaning again. Should work. (..and give the compatible ones a dump)
