To replace the ink cartridges
1. Make sure the HP All-in-One is turned on.
2. Open the ink cartridge door by lifting from the front center of the device, until the door locks into place.
3. Squeeze the tab below an ink cartridge to release the latch inside the HP All-in-One, and then lift the latch.
If you are replacing the black ink cartridge, lift the latch on the far left.
If you are replacing one of the five color ink cartridges, such as yellow, light cyan (blue), cyan, light magenta (pink), or magenta, lift the appropriate latch in the center area.
4. Pull the ink cartridge toward you out of its slot to remove it.
5. Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging, and then, holding it by the handle, slide the ink cartridge into the empty slot.
Make sure that you insert the ink cartridge into the slot that has the same shaped icon and color as the one you are installing.
6. Press down on the gray latch until it clicks into place.
7. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each ink cartridge you are replacing.
8. Close the ink cartridge door.

re Printing in black only - you can do this by selection this option from your application and choosing the print properties of the printer and setting to Black / Greyscale printing only.

Why Why is my hp photosmart C5580 All In One printer printing words backwards

Hello,

May i know which application are you using to print from ?
I guess "Mirror printing" is enabled , hence you are getting its desired effect.
Open a Notepad and print, let me know if issue still persists.

Myhp photosmart c5580 all-inone print cartridge alinment failed what do I do

1. Get a damp paper towel.
2. Set the ink cartridge right side up on the damp paper towel so that the ink nozzles are against the towel and hold the cartridge in this position for about 15 seconds.
3. Now wipe the print head (on the bottom where the ink comes out) across in one direction only (left to right) until it looks clean.
4. Next dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure that the ink is flowing.
5. Snap the cartridges back into the printer. And try doing the Alignment again!!!!!
Good Luck!!!!!

Printed photos have red tint

check the tri color cartridge, it is possible that you may have more genta ink remaining in the cartridge then say the blue or yellow
as well as check the applicatiion you are printing from... it may be a setting in the rgb color format that is over riding the windows settings

Why does color ink in Photosmart C7280 go down when you are only printing using black ink

Unless you set the printer settings to black and white it mixes colored ink to create black. It does this by default. Go to start printers and faxes. Right click on printer icon.Click printing preferences to change this.If youre using hp tool box setting is grayscale black only.
Hope this helps.

Photosmart 5580. How do I turn off the annoying

Because it is a photo printer it knows that the print heads must be aligned for optimum reproduction. You get a new print head with each cart.

For the amount of ink a test page uses I can't see the reason for complaint. If you begrudge the miniscule amount of ink and are not bothered about the best possible printing then just ignore it.

My hp photosmart c5580 won't print the correct ink color on dvds

Unless a printer is specifically designed to PRINT on CDs or DVDS, that's the problem. Usually a program called "LightScribe" is used to print on CDs or DVDs right in your DVD/CD Drive. For printers, use a Self Adhesive DVD/CD PAPER Label(s) that you can buy in the store. Inserting DVDs or CDs through a printer can really mess them up and Damage the rollers inside!

Black printing morphs into red after black ink cartridge installation

Your printer creates it's black by using ALL the colours together. This effectively gives a very dark purple rather than black.

It sounds like you have a colour cart that is drying up or may be struggling to get enough air into the cartridge. Make sure you have removed any tape over the vent holes if you are using compatible inks. If not then try running a couple cleaning cycles via the button panel/driver.

If you alter the settings in the driver by going into START - PRINTERS AND FAXES and then right click on your 2610 and select PROPERTIES - the changes you make in here will be set as the default settings for each print job.
