SOURCE: Kitchen Aid Ice maker Stopped working

I would suggest not buying a KitchenAid. I have the same problem with my ice maker. Have had nothing but problems with every KitchenAid product that I have ever owned. I will never purchase another KitchenAid product.

All of there appliances are second rate. That is "The KitchenAid Difference"

SOURCE: kitchen aid superba side by side refrigerator

I slid our unit out tonight and took off the cardboard cover and vacuumed the back area out.  If you do this unplug the unit. I didn't see the spinning fan blades next to the compressor until after the vacuum nozzle touched them.
I then took off the front cover down by the water filter.  We have 2 long hair cats. 5 years of fur had collected and was preventing air from circulating out the front of the unit. I vacuumed out the fur.  I then took a short flexible rubber tube and hooked it to the vacuum and got as much fur and dust off the coils underneath the fridge box.
Once I had everything put back together and plugged back in the frame cooled down and I think we are OK.  My guess is the hot air could not escape so it was gradually heating up the frame.
Good luck.

The ice maker has stopped working. The red led light blinks when the freezer door is opened. Any thoughts?

SOURCE: Kitchen Aid Superba Refrigerator KSFS25FKBL01

I have the same problem, if you take off the cover at the bottom of the unit on the left side you will find 6 wires inside a plastic braid, my guess is that you will find some or all of the wires broken, this is due to poor design. they break by simply opening and closing the door. I have contacted kitchenaid and their response is more or less "tough luck". You may have to replace the entire freezer door, good luck

How long have you had this refrigerator and is this the first time this has happened? Your refrigerator has a control board and I believe the board is causing the refrigerator not to defrost every 8 hours. Let me know these questions and I will help you resolve this. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Kitchen aid ksss42 not cooling fan runs

Hi,

With this particle number you gave there are over 40 different models. So I seek a better model number or a complete number to assist you better. Some models had a inverter to control the compressor and I have seen failure due to heat or surges. But without a model number to verify I can't and won't direct you on a fish hunt without the correct information. Get back to me with more information please.

Opened fridge door too long. now the light won't come back on and it keeps beeping.

press Over Temp reset button on control panel to reset and turn lights and fan on. Or, just do a Master Reset by pushing the On/Off button twice. DG Vail

When I turn my blender on, it runs for only a few seconds, then stops and all the lights on the panel flash on and off.

More often than not it will need the motor to be replaced, only Kitchen Aid parts will do, motors are usually unique to brands and models. Sometimes it can be the control/button panel but normally the motor.
