Hi,

With this particle number you gave there are over 40 different models. So I seek a better model number or a complete number to assist you better. Some models had a inverter to control the compressor and I have seen failure due to heat or surges. But without a model number to verify I can't and won't direct you on a fish hunt without the correct information. Get back to me with more information please.

I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

SOURCE: compressor runs, very little cooling, internal fan not running

You will need to unplug refrigerator and open plane inside freezer to see if fan is stuck or burned out. If freezer is frozen over with ice you will need to warm the ice for removal. Let me know, when you are ready, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: My compressor cooling fan quit- the compressor

The problem is most likely the condensor fan motor is starting to fail. This is easy to check, First remove the back cover and when the compressor is running you should have voltage going to the fan motor if you do the fan motor needs replacing if not then the main board would be at fault here is a link that should help http://appliancehelponline.com/refercondenserfan.html

SOURCE: Kitchen Aid side by side

Fridge section not cooling and fan is not running. The fan should actually run, then only fridge section will get cold. ----------- The working procedure of this unit is as follows: --- The compressor starts then it cools the freezer section. When the freezer reaches its cooling level the defrost cycle starts functioning. In this cycle the fan in the freezer section starts running and the cool air in the freezer section is passed to the fridge section and the fridge section gets cold. The air from freezer to refrigerator passes from the section, in that section the damper is located.--------- But if fan is not starting to run, then how will cold air from freezer will get to the fridge section. They will just remain in freezer section and freezer will get bit more cool then required.--------- ------------ In some cases its seen, that freezer section gets over frosted and ice gets collected on the freezer fan too.And this causes problem.--------------

So first thing you try is , perform, manual defrost reset procedure.---------

The manual defrost reset procedure is as follows : ----
First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. Then check, if still the fan is not starting to run in few hours then fan motor needs to be replaced. Its easy replacement.--------- Then see if the fridge section is getting cold or not.If still the fridge section is not getting cold with freezer fan running, then problem is defrost board. It has to be replaced.------- You can get required parts from online sites like: --- www.repairclinic.com or from searspartsdirect online site.

----------- This should help. Thanks.Helpmech.

SOURCE: My Kitchen Aid Model KSRG27FKWH04 will not cool

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

Control board clicks every 3 sec. No cooling. No fan or compressor running.

Avanb, I can almost assure you that the control board is the problem. I'm assuming that the interior lights are on, but no fans and the compressor is not running. To make sure, first unplug the temperature control harness. (encoder). If the refrigerator starts running, replace the temperature control board (encoder board. If it doesn't start running, replace the main board in back. To remove the control panel, remove the 2 screws located on the bottom. Slide the panel down. Then just disconnect the harness to the temperature control. Catriver.

Why the cooling fan does not work on one the upper over of KEBS278

First check that the fan itself has not failed. If the fan and wiring are ok, your EOC (electronic oven control) has failed. This is NLA (no longer availabe). The Whirlpool part number is 3187895. This can be rebuilt: See:

Kitchen Aid #KSCs25INSS01: Outside of Freezer is very hot, jumped down to -15 degrees - will not allow readjustment.

I recently had the same issue of the sides/center becoming hot on my kscs25inss01. The cooling fan would not come on. I kept unplugging and waiting for a while then re-plugging in to get the fan to work for a while (it would run about 12 hours then get hot again, it also takes 7 minutes for fan to come on after plugged in). I also placed a small box fan at the rear vent pulling the air out. I ordered the contoller board and replaced it, now, the fan comes on and it is staying cool.
Replacement:
I removed panel in lower back,
removed inverter box next to compressor,
removed gounding wire on frame,
then removed the controller box - metal box along side of refrigerator
Popped out old board ,
moved the center jumper from old board to new board in same location,
and plugged everything in and sealed it back up in reverse order.

assumming its the cooling fan( which is only supposed to run to cool the controls). as per my diagram which wasnt very clear there is no thermostat controlling the fan , looks as though it gets its pawer directly form control board/clock assy , perhaps a relay is stuck closed, i would look for t he wire diag on the back of unit and trace back the fan wires perhaps theres a thermostat not listedn my diag.

Outside of refrigerator is hot - almost burning hot

The frame between the doors has a refrigerant line running through it to prevent moisture build up between doors (should be room temp. or slightly warm, not hot).
If that area between the doors is hot to the touch, you have two things to check: 1 - are the condenser coils under unit or in the back clean? 2 - is the condenser fan running in the back that is near the compressor running?

BABT83.2AL Canopy Rangehood The fan/suction is not working. A slight straining noise is heard. The light is working as is the display panel.

These units have a history of fan failure due to inferior 220 volt Italian fan.

I have just had fan fail and retrofitted a ebmpapst blower fan model D2E146HT6702 which is readily available in Aus for around $120.

The fan speed control is by inverter variable output so you don't use all the speed select wires that this fan has. Connect the Red wire on the range hood to the Black on the motor (High speed winding) and the Black on the range hood to the Blue on the motor (Neutral) and the earth to the earth (Green).

Disconnect and toss the cap in the white enclosure under the PC board enclosure (the new fan has the cap on board). Don't know how easy to fit in the range hood as mine is in an acoustic fan housing in the roof (makes it wisper quiet when running)
