Freezer temp has been reset to 0 and then it goes back up to 11 degrees. Nothing seems to obstructed in the ice maker. Nothing is frozen over. Thanks, Danny Bob I have an KitchenAid Superba # KSR25IKBT01. My ice maker stopped working but the water is despensing perfect. I turned the temperature up,now i am going to unplug it.

Solution #2 posted on May 05, 2008 Kitchen Aid Ice maker Stopped working - 0%20stars_w.png
Use a cup of water and just fill the ice cube maker with enough water for the first batch and the sensor will then begin making ice again.
My ice cube maker stopped working after I changed the filter. After reading countless posts about wiring and defrosting and using a blowdryer into the fill line I emptied my freezer and fridge, then unplugged it. I got no results after two days. I finally just put some water in the ice cube maker (the metal ice cube tray below the white plastic fingers that forms the cubes) plugged it back in and closed the door for a few hours and it worked. I wonder if I needed to defrost the unit at all. It was working before I changed the filter, then the filter was full and stopped water from flowing (or decreased the flow dramatically anyway).
Good Luck

First make sure your water valve is working . If so , look for fill tube that fills ice maker to be frozen. If it is frozen , unthaw tube. If its not then replace the ice maker.

Kitchen Aid side by side ksra2scnss00 ice maker not working....Water dispenser is working fine

The simple solution for your refrigerator is to replace dual water control valve. For example if your model was the IKSCS25INSS the replacement part would be the=> W10247725 Water Inlet Valve It also could be your ice maker itself so if the ice slots ar empty fill with tap water and allow to freeze. If the ice freezes and drops into the ice bucket and then does not refill with water then replace the water control valve. If not then it nis possible the ice maker is defective and will need replaced. Not knowing the correct model number I think it wouls better that you call Repair Clinic at 1-800-269-2609 and they will be happy to help you find the correct ice maker. 2198597 Ice Maker Assembly Should you have any questions I will be here to assist you, Thank You, Sea Breeze
believe you have your model number wrong so I will give you this link=> product literature search

Ice maker in Kitchen Aid stopped making ice

The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

The ice maker is producing ice poorly When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.

Keeps making ice, i can't seem to make it stop.

You have an emitter and receiver in the freezer section...Actually when you slide the lever on the right side in the middle of the freezer section, you break the beam...and it is suppose to stop the ice maker from harvesting ice anymore. If this shut off device fails, it can fail in the on position and continue to make ice. Replace this assemlby sold in a kit and you will be fine. In the mean time, if you can remove the ice maker head and unplug it, that will stop the ice until you can replace the emitter and receiver assembly. You can also shut the water off but the ice maker will continue to operate, just not dispense ice. If extending and waiting on this repair you should disconnect the ice maker.....

Kitchen Aid side by side model #kscs25inss00 The ice machine stopped working. I checked the solenoid valve for the ice machine and it works, as does the water dispeser in the door. The teeth in the ice...

First off is the water filter bad and or do you have one...if not and it is good...then you have pretty much diagnosed the problem correctly...as you said the old Ice maker gears turn and when they make a complete revolution they engage a trigger which signals the water solenoid to dispense water to the ice maker...another test is to fill the ice maker manually and see if it freezes (test the temp of the freezer...if it is not cold enough the ice maker will not work)...if ice is made (generally under 4 hours ) and it is not dumped...you need to replace the Ice maker...around $30 to $50depnding on brand and where you buy it...I shop Marcones Appliance parts the appliance repairman's friend...good quality cheap prices.

Good Luck I hope this helped...please rate me ...the Fang.
