I'm getting the error message Oxc18a020a.
My printer has been in storage. I just replaced ink cartridges and had to unstick the carriage arm. Now it is giving the message listed above.
That error usually means you need to change out the Ink waste tank filters located at the base of the printer - this is best changed by an actual HP tech - they can be very temperamental to remove properly. The cartridges probably leaked during storage. Next time, pull all of the carts out of the printer prior to storage.
Good luck, please rate this answer if you found it helpful.
Turn on your printer.
Lift the printer unit, and then position the scanner support
between the tabs to hold it open.
Press down on the ink cartridge lever to raise each ink
cartridge lid.
Remove the old ink cartridges.
Store the cartridges in an air-tight container, such as the
storage unit you received with your photo cartridge, or dispose of them
properly.
If you are installing new ink cartridges, remove the sticker
and transparent tape from the back and bottom of each ink cartridge.
NOTE: The following illustration shows a black cartridge and a
color cartridge (used for normal printing). For photo printing, use a photo
cartridge and a color cartridge.
Snap each lid closed. Hold the printer unit up, push the scanner support back to unlock it, and then
lower the printer unit until it is completely closed.
Insert the new ink cartridges. Make sure the black or photo ink cartridge is
secure in the left ink cartridge carrier, and the color ink cartridge is secure
in the right ink cartridge carrier.
