My brother mfc wont print anything even though there is plenty of black ink, because I am out of cyan. Can I make it print in grayscale and bypass the need for color till I can replace the cyan cartridge?
In order to print in
Black and White using grayscale, you will need to adjust the printing
preferences within the driver. To change the printer properties complete
the following steps:
1. Open the Printers
Folder:
2. Right click
on the Brother printer driver and left click Printing
Preferences.
3. Click the
Advanced tab.
4. Select
Grayscale.
5. Click APPLY => OK. Your printer will now print in grayscale.

nope, wont work..a note at the bottom says that if one cartridge is out, it will not print in color or in grayscale. I have delt with this before in Brother printers an was wondering if anyone had found their way around it.
