It's very common to have a squeaking diving board. This because they get rusty very easily. You'll need to lubricate the joints with WD40 on a regular basis to keep it from rusting up. Also, be aware that squeaking could be a sign that the safety of your board is compromised.
Well,a drive belt needs to be replaced every 50,000 mi. or so,and a weak tensioner can allow slack which causes sqeak even if the belt is good. The idler pulley on those is easy to replace also. If the tensioner isn't holding the drive belt very tighly,replace it and the belt. Auto Zone will let you put down a deposit and borrow a tool to work the tensioner so the belt can be easily removed. don-ohio
unless the head come to a halt during initialization process, upon turning on your printer there is no way you will be able to print, please check for any obstruction on the printer head, the grinding sound is an indicator that the head is trying to reach its position and was having trouble. or it could be a damaged belt that you need to replaced
