ID Copy asks me to present front side and then back side. But it prints one side only.

You have to flip your card over, scanners only scan one side of things and that what is facing down

I'm trying to photocopy a book on a canon imagerunner 5075 without copying one page at a time and flipping the book around. Is there a way where the copier scans the right page and then scans the left page...

Hi Kim,
there are a couple of easy ways to tackle this problem. you have a book that when the spline is opened exposes 2 pages to the glass for the possibility of copying. What YOU need to determine is whether or not you want page 1 to ouput seperately from page 2, or , would you like page one to be on one side and page 2 to be on the second side. In other words auto duplex. That decision determines which feature you will use. I will walk you thru both. I realize you want the copier to scan the first page and then scan the second without you having to move the book around. I'm thinking you would be happy if the copier did that very thing and you wound up with a 2 sided copy with page 1 on the front and page 2 on the back. Here we go. Fom the main copy display locate the 2 sided button and select it. Select "book 2 sided" and follow the prompts. You could actually copy the entire book this way and when you are thru press "done" and here comes the avalanche!
If you want the images 1 sided on seperate sheets (not sure why) you can select "special features" from the display in the lower right corner and select "2 page seperation". same drill.

How do you make a double sided copy?

If you don't have a duplexer, the larger cover on the back, the only way to copy this way is to re-feed the print, print side up and copy to the back. The duplexer sticks out of the back about 3 inches, the plain cover is just a flat rear door.

Missing the manual - how to collate??

By using the Duplex button on your machine, you can set the machine to
print copies on both sides of paper.
1 Press Duplex.
2 Load originals face up in the ADF.
3 Press the Scroll buttons until the binding option you want appears.
Off: Prints in Normal mode.
1->2Side Short: Prints pages to be read by flipping like a note
pad.
1->2Side Long: Prints pages to be read like a book.
2->1Side: Scans both sides of the original and prints each of them
on separate two papers. (SCX-6322DN only)
2->2Side: Scans both sides of the original and prints them on both
sides of a paper, this function produce exactly the same print out
from the original. (SCX-6322DN only)
2->1Side Rotate2: Scans both sides of the original and prints one
of them on separate two papers, but the information on back side
of the original is printed 180° rotated. (SCX-6322DN only)
4 Press OK to save your selection.
If the mode is enabled, the Duplex button is backlit.

Collation

You can set the machine to sort the copy job. For
example, if you make 2 copies of a 3 page original,
one complete 3 page document will print followed by a
second complete document.
1 Press Copy.
2 Load originals face up into the ADF.
For details about loading an original, see
page 5.1.
3 Enter the number of copies using the number
keypad.
4 Press Menu until Copy Feature appears on the
bottom line of the display and press OK.
5 Press OK when Copy Collation appears.
6 Press the Scroll buttons to select Yes.
7 Press OK or Start to begin copying.
One complete document will print

How to use the scanner on my Epson 60000

there are different type of scannig programs. I am not that particular with your epson scanner. You can try scanning the document and if you want to archive it you can try choosig the option of file type as compressed tif. If you do not have this option there would be times that scanning software will have the preview of the document you have scanned and will asked you if you want to reduce or enlarge size. If resizing option is not available in your scanner software you can try saving it first in your computer. After saving the document try to open microsoft word and create a new file. Then look for the document you have scanned and copy that document. Once you have copied it go back to microsoft word and paste the documet. you could now resize the document manually. but for further clarification you can try calling your scanner provider. they might have some programs for it and will give it to you
