Can the unit operate without the remote control

Yes, by pressing the power button on the unit. It is factory set to cool to 68 degrees and maintain that temperature. To access any other settings you must use the remote control. The part # for the remote is CRMC-A750JBEZ

Jeep wants to start with no key

If there is a remote engine starter installed in the Jeep, it might be malfunctioning and trying to start on it's own. Also, some remote start units have a timer or temperature sensor that starts the vehicle automatically if the temperature drops too low.

How far from the unit or room do you have the remote? remember the remote is the sensor, if it isnt near the unit it will not shut off! place the remote 8 feet from the unit and leave it there, if it doesnt shut off, it was installed wrong or is malfunctioning!

For air conditioners is also stay at 64 i dont go up or down whit the remote why

Please elaborate! I'm unsure if your A/C will not change temperature without the remote. Some units have a "lock" which if set, will keep the unit at the same temperature & if it's only not working with your remote, my guess is that your remote is bad or the batteries are dead or placed in it incorrectly (or may have leaked & ruined the remote.)
