Haier HWR08XC7 Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
The styrofoam inside the unit is covered in black
Any mold in any part of the unit is not good, especially if its in the Styrofoam, Styrofoam has pores and hides the mold spores well, it would be dangerous to actually run the unit with mold spores as it can travel inside the house. Unfortunately companies that make these units don't make these units mold proof, why should they? that's how they make their money. I have three units, one has always given me problems with mold. It always comes back. The other two are always clean. My best advice, get rid of the unit and get another one or get a free estimate on Central air and heat. Mold is very dangerous and is not worth the risk, it can cause a number of medical issues.

Why is water leaking on the floor from my haier air conditioner
Window A/C units will dehumidify the rooms as they operate. The unit has drainage at the rear. It is important when installing the unit to ensure that the unit slopes slightly OUTWARD to allow the water to drain to the rear. Otherwise the drain pan fills and the water pours into the room. If the unit IS tilted outward, then check the drainage holes for obstructions.
What to do to fix the E1 error on a haier her08xc7
Push buttons about five times each beforjust to make sure they are not stuck....then......Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it. NOTE: The air conditioner must be unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset. Clean the filter. See the Care and Cleaning section in your use and care manual. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.Other forums say the E1 code is because the AC thinks a button is stuck or because it's dirty, but almost all of them say to use the remote and it'll work ok.
Power went out and now it wont turn back on and it

If you have the remote, that should still work..if you need to reset it.
If you do not have the remote, believe it or not, some VCR/DVD remotes
will work the system. The remote is a 'One For All' URC-3021B00
The buttons are as follows:
rewind=power on/off
pause= timer on/off
4=low/high
5=temperature up
9=temperature down
8=fan/cool
Goiod luck.
