Ricoh 1232C, CS 792 Problem Finisher - can I fix or do I require a service call. When copying form the center portion of page does not copy, the top & bottom portion is fine. Thanks, Gene

finisher cable not plug into copier. I f you don't have a finisher don't worry about it or you need to remove bridge unit to get rid of code.

SC 792 :Finisher error .The machine does not recognize the finisher , but recognizes the relay unit .Possible causes :Defective connectordefective cable incorrect installation

792 Finisher connection error
Symptom:
The SBCU cannot communicate with
the finisher properly when the bridge
unit is installed.

Possible Cause:
• Poor connection between the finisher
and bridge unit
• SBCU board defective

At the machine. Press in this order. Clear all ( yellow button) then 107, then press and hold the pink stop button until the screen changes. You will see some icons that say Copy SP, Sytem SP.
Select Copy SP, if thats not available select System SP.
You will see several buttons. Select sp 7 Data Log, Then scroll to page 804 and select that. Then scroll to item 11. That is where you will select to clear the fuser oil count and reset it.

if you look at the white cam you will see the black cylinder it has a spring inside .. you have the right part everytime you do a copy the clutch actuates the and presses the transfer roller onto the back of the page which then presses against the transfer surface and causes the image to be transfered onto the page .. if faulty the image is week or can be of variable quality..Andy

that appears to be a finisher communication problem. Check the connectors..

Hello sir; try to turn off and back on the machine to reset, if don't work next few steps need to follow;
1, press "clear mode" then enter 107 then press and hold "clear/stop" key until SP mode show up.
2, turn power off and back on .
