Xerox Phaser 8560 Not Duplexing

Hello! I have a Phaser 8560 that just stopped duplexing, no error messages or anything. It prints one-sided with no problems.

I even tried doing a sample page, 2-sided demonstration, printed 1 sided.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thank you!

I have an 8560MFP with the same problem, all working fine except it does not duplex...no errors, selecting duplex on the control panel results in single sided copies. etc..etc..

Ditto here. Deinstall / reinstall of driver didn't help either.

Check to make sure that "Plain Paper" is selected as the paper type for tray 2 in the printer's internal setup. If it's not set as the default then the printer may think you have labels or some other special media loaded that can't be printed in duplex.

1. Go to the printer.

2. Use the up and down arrow keys to hilight "Paper Tray Setup" on the main menu and push "OK".

3. Use the up and down arrow keys to hilight "Tray 2 Paper Type" and push "OK".

4. Hilight "Plain Paper" and push "OK".

5. Press the return button (the one with the little rounded arrow symbol) to return to the main menu.

That should solve it.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I fixed the paper type on the printer -- mine had been set to Labels -- but still had a problem. In forcing a normal-paper print on my end even though the printer thought it was full of labels, I somehow ended up with my driver set to a paper mode of "Automatically Select. Changing the setting on my print driver back to Plain Paper finished the fix.

On my Windows XP machine, changing print driver settings globallyu (for all programs) is done by going to Start > Printers and Faxes >, then right-click on the 8560 printer and selecting Printing Preferences.

Ok. so I thought I had set everything - paper set to default to plain paper. Xerox told me to check the cables. Still no luck.
But then by going to the exact menu
Danius Rexrefers to - resolved the problem. For some reason this printer had a paper type of ' Envelope' for tray 2 - so setting this to 'plain paper' resolved the problem and printer will now print on duplex - just printed the sample duplex page from the control panel ok. Thank you - so much Danius! Only other option Xerox gave me was to send engineer at a cost of £330. (+VAT) they couldn't tell me why the printer wasn't able to print duplex. doh!

Duplex copying on xerox phaser 3300mfp

I have the same problem and was told by the telephone helpdesk that the machine cannot copy double-sided to double-side. The duplexing referred to is copying 2 single-sided documents onto one single sheet on both sides....Like whoever does that! This is misleading on Xerox's part . Colin B.

How do I print on 4X6 photo paper on the Xerox Phaser 8560

To print 4 x 6 on a Phaser 8560 you can only use the MPT and you can't duplex. When you load the paper into the bypass, the screen will pop up options for paper size and type. The closest match to 6 x 4 is A6 but the tray will know that the size is wrong if you select it. Therefore, you must select 'Custom Size' and input the size in whatever units the printer requests, either inches or millimeters depending on your printer settings.
Hope this helps.

Xerox phaser 6120 not duplex printing since it's wireless network

You have to go to printer properties and look for "optional functions" or something to that effect, and check the option "duplexing unit" or similar.
By default the computer does not know, that your printer has duplex capabilities.

How to set up printer to print double sided. Printer Xerox Phaser 8400

First look at your printer identification.

You can see it in either the display or on the startup or configuration pages.

It must have a "D" in the name for you to be able to do automatic duplexing. i.e. 8400DN or 8400DX . Then you can scroll to printer setup
and select defaults, and then turn on the duplex, or double sided printing.

If yours does not have a "D" i.e. 8400, 8400N then you would need a new sim card to enable the duplex option.

Jams when duplexing

There is a set of clutches in on the upper back side of the right side door.
The inverter clutch tends to go bad on that cluster.
But if you are replacing one may as well do both. They are electromechinical clutches.
