Did you have any codes in the airbag control module? Why did you replace so many components? Prior to replacing all these components, did you perform any type of electrical tests (resistance/open) to verify that they were good or bad?
If you are not familiar with automotive electrical systems and diagnosis, best you take it to a location that does.
Working with the airbag circuit is very dangerou !
I suggest that you read the installation tip on the item page as well.
Also, does the green charging indicator light still illuminate when you plug the shaver in to charge? If it no longer lights, don't waste your time with the batteries because your have waited too long to change them and the circuit board is now damaged. Unfortunately, circuit boards for model 6550 are no longer available from Braun
shaveroutlet.com may have a PCB that could work in your 6550 model but from what I discovered it is not the same as the one you currently have. It will make the razor function but the LCD will not be available to show battery life. you will have a red and a green light only. If you can live with this than I would suggest contacting shaveroutlet.com. I have the same problem as I have a model 6550 and I have been looking for a replacement PCB ..Printed Circuit Board but have been unable to find one. Call Brian at shaveroutlet.com. I plan on contacting him next week ...Feb 7, 2013 with same problem
the owners manual shoul assist you on how to reset the filter timer however the filter reminder will not cause the unit not to work . the batterys going bad will. change the batterys and if you dont have the manual and cant reset the filter reminder just ignor it or replace the stat
when i have seen this in the past, i have been able to clean the contacts that the batteries touch.they may not look dirty, but if they get a little corrosion or get tarnished, they will not let the full battery power get to the stat and it will think the battery is low. try cleaning it with some emery cloth and see if that helps.
The device does not contain a user repl battery. The batt is rechargable and is recommended that you charge it nightly. It uses an internal lihtium ion batt. They say contact cust care due to fluid that may leak from the internal batt can result in injury to skin and eyes?? Theysay cust care for assis if you need repl batt.http://www.wirefly.c...
Unfortunately this is almost impossible. The batteries are part of the circuit board, and Braun only authorize their service agents to replace the whole unit, and my local agent found that it had been discontinued. If you still want to have a go, two screws are hidden beneath the two grey plastic caps either side of the charging socket on the underside of the shaver which can be prized off quite easily. Once you have removed the screws, the small plastic section comes off. Now you can slide the outer casing off. A thin black cover at the back can then be unclipped, revealing the circuit board and batteries. The whole unit simply lifts out and would be easy to replace if you could find one! Rplacing the batteries would be far more difficult and risky. Good luck.
