Whirpool Duet front loader ghw9100lw error code F02
When running washer we are hearing loud noise fm water pump motor, and see error Sud, soon followed by F02. Have checked at filter by unscrewing white cap at front of washer after removing bottom cover, found no debris. or anything in drain boot.water appears to drain and washer spins on Drain/Spin, after plugging washer back in. regular wash failed again withF02 and water pump motor making noise as before. If this needs replaced, it appears we cannot just get electric motor, but must get whole water pump assy. Correct?
This washer was purchased in 2002. and assume that it is ghw9100lw0

If your hearing clackling try and clean the pump and the hose leading into the pump for a coin ,,small ,,(dime),,,hair clip,,also its a must that you use he detergent,,or you sude up,,if you do use he your using to much,,now bleach the unit out on a normal cycle hot wash cold rinse with about a pint of bleach...and no you can purchase part of a pump..it comes as you see it in unit..onthejob

Long Drain
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump
If I am not mistaken f02 code means that long drain. put into spin and see if the pump turns on if it does check if water is coming out... if not need to check if there is something stuck in the pump blocking the flow for the water

"F02" is a Long Drain error code. It sounds like your drain pump has failed and is not draining properly. This is probably also the cause of the "SUD" error and the noise you're hearing. If you wish to replace the pump, I recommend replacing the entire unit. Searspartsdirect.com carries the part for about $71.00. Just type in your COMPLETE model number in the Search menu and look under the "Pump and Motor Parts" heading for item #10.
