Need to add a new laptop onto my wireless router wgt624 v.3

Connect to it directly using a LAN cat 5 cable, not wireless.
Log in as admin to the router, and change the wireless password to something new.
Disconnect the cable then try connecting from each laptop by wireless, when it prompts for password enter the new password.

Default password is "admin" (without the quotes, all lowercase) unless you have changed it with the configuration program on the CD. Leave the username field empty.

There is a reset button on the back of the router; just use a paperclip to poke it. Then the default settings will be restored, and the username/password should both be admin

If you have forgotten your wireless security password then you need to add new password because it is saved in * and # format so you need to add new code.
You need to configure your router.
For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It isyour password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.

You can secure your wireless network wit WEP or WAP code.
For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.

http://192.168.1.1
For belkin router http://192.168.15.1
or
http://192.168.2.1

You can try to log into the router by going to 192.168.1.1 The Default username is admin and password admin. once you get into the dashboard for the router click on wireless, then wireless security. if you cant log onto the router press and hold the reset button on the back of the router until the lights start flashing then let go and wait until all lights are done flashing and that will reset to default settings(including username/password) then do the steps above

First connect your router to computer with ethenret cable.

For belkin router
http://192.168.15.1

type user name as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"

then go to dhcp then enable dhcp.
Also check wireless is enabled.

To connect to your wireless router you should first turn the laptop's wireless switch. Then search for available networks.

Choose the network you want to connect to. If it is secured you will need to enter the password that you have setup in the router.

If you dont know the password. You can check it from your router settings. To do this type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.3(refer your manual) and then type the user name and password. It will usually be admin and admin unless you have changed it. Feel free to post back if you need more help.
