good day,
  • might as well get the mac address of your device and configure that n the router as a dedicated device. If not try to restore to earlier date.

You need to be able to see the wireless SSID, otherwise you are out of range.

You cannot wirelessly reboot it. You have to physically turn off the power to reboot it.

The Pin number is usually written on the label at the back of the router.

The password is wrong for the connection you are choosing. Don't try and log into the router, just the extender, they should not overlap in wireless ranges, other wise this can cause problems.

NetGear... • Answered on Mar 08, 2015

This message means your extender is too far away from your wireless router to make a good connection. Repeaters must be within a good signal range for the connection to work properly. If you have a wifi enabled phone, tablet, or laptop, you can walk around your home and see where the signal reaches and how well. Repeaters should be placed where you still receive full or close to full signal. Repeaters may have issues if the wireless router is on another floor, behind metal, or too far away.

the password should be the same password of your wifi on the router...

It should be the password of your routers wifi... but if it did not work reset the extender back to factory default settings. .. press and hold the reset hole on the back of the extender for 15 seconds...powercycle extender.reconnect to the extenders network which netgear_extonce its connected try to run the wizard again ... u can use mywifiext.net or u can use the ip address follow the wizard and use same settings of the existing network ... make sure u have the right key... if your using WEP for your routers security make sure you type in the key on the key 1 box during installation ... :)
