Because the routers are pre-N they will support B-N because n isnt standard and is still a little touchy. you will be fine. but the downside, you arent getting the true N speed because your comp is running G, if you could elaborate on your computer a bit more im sure we could find an N internal card to replace the G stock. let us know

With a Belkin wireless router you can connect computers to the same Internet connection without having to run cables between all of them. If you don't want any stranger with a laptop that is within the range of your wireless router to be able to access your network you will first need to enable the router's security settings.

1.Power on any of the computers that are currently connected to a network through your Belkin wireless router. Click on the "Start" button and then open the Control Panel.

2. Scroll down through the Control Panel options and double-click the "Devices" icon. Right-click on the entry for your Belkin wireless router and click on "Update Driver." Wait for the latest software driver to finish downloading and then close the Devices window.

3. Open your web browser by clicking on its corresponding desktop icon. Click on the address bar at the top of the web browser's window and type in the string of numbers and dots "192.168.2.1" Press the Enter key to bring up the router's access page. Click on the "Login" button.

4. Leave the password text box blank and then click on the "Submit" button to access the settings menu. Click on the tab at the top of the screen labeled as "Wireless."

5. Find the "Security" link at the center of the page and click on it. Click on the "Security Mode" drop-down menu box and then change the security mode to whichever setting you want. Choose the "128 bit WEP" option from the drop-down menu if you want to enable security encryption on your wireless network.

6. Click on the "Generate" button at the bottom of the screen to generate the encryption key and then type in a password you want to use in the "Passphrase" text box. Leave the box empty if you want anyone within range to be able to access your wireless router. Click on the "Apply Changes" button to save the changes.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

Try upgrading the routers firmware from the website. They have walk throughs on the website, typically you save the software from the website to your computer, log into the routers management section and update it. If that doesnt work, your router is just junk

Welcome to Fixya

You may need to provide me some more details regarding the problem. You said you cannot go online when you disconnect the router. Is taht correct? And you were able to go online using the service modem. Could you explain to me further how you connect the computer to the router.

Your response will be highly appreciated.

There should be a small button that says "reset". You need to use something like a paper clip or the tip of a pencil/pen to press it. Hold this down for a few seconds (all the lights will usually flash when it's reset).

The router should now be back to factory defaults.

The WEP key is assigned by the network admininstrator. If you are the one just log in in the router set up page and assign the WEP or WPA key.

. Connect the computer to one of the four LAN ports on the router.

2. Open a web browser on the computer.

3. In the address bar of the web browser, type http://192.168.2.1

Did you try a reset? Also, if you are using WEP encryption on the N router, you are only getting 54MBPS rather than 108MBPS. Use WPA.

look on the router on the bottom or at the power jack. The voltage and amperage level will be there. Then match it to the power supply that fits and has the same voltage/amp output.

If you didn't change the administrators password to access the router, plug in via ethernet cord and reset the WEP key
IP address is probably 192.168.0.1. Type that into the URL bar of the internet explorer. That will get you to the routers interface. Default password is admin or it's just blank. No user name.

2. Press and hold the reset button on the bottom of the router
