I am fixing an IBM LCD Screen, running winXP, computer will boot up for 10 secs, and turn into Blackscreen,(very deem,if you look closely you can see.) I have noticed that, when boots up, LCD turn little red colour, I don't know the screen is too old or what!? or the mother board is bad, and also the little switch connect the mother board and the LCD display is build in with the mother board, therefore i could not change that! D'oh...
If my research effort is accurate, _dim_ LCD screens are typically caused by problems with:
-- The inverter
-- The backlight
-- The screen itself.
Apparently it tends to be a pick-and-chose effort to diagnose the problem.
I'm not quite sure you mean that the LCD display is built in with the motehrboard ... are you sure you don't mean the video card, or is this an all-in-one product?
At any rate, you may get some tips here:

They almost certainly will not have your exact model of computer/laptop/screen/whatever it is you're trying to fix, but you may be able to look at other products and see what's involved in changing parts. If it really is an LCD _monitor_ that's bad, depending on your technical expertise, patience, mechanical aptitude, available money, and such, you may just want to replace it. Or try a few parts ...
