I can't find information online about your monitor, so I'll give you a generic answer for all monitors. Almost all monitors use a C13 cord - the same kind used for a desktop computer. They also carry C13 cords with right-angled plugs, which may be more convenient with some monitors. There are a very few monitors that use an external power supply, which is like a laptop computer power adapter. If this is the case, the voltage and current requirements for the power supply should be on the label on the back of the monitor, and the only other thing you have match is the plug on the power adapter output cord (it needs to fit the power jack on the back of the monitor). Note: the voltage of the power supply must be the same as that shown on the label (usually 12 VDC) and the current rating must be the same or higher. If you don't see the voltage and current listed on the label, look closely at the power jack - the numbers may be molded into the plastic next to it. It is rare to find a monitor with a permanently attached power cord. If this is the case with yours and it is damaged, do not attempt to splice it outside of the monitor. Put a replacement plug on if the good part of the cord is long enough, and use a good extension cord. Otherwise, you should open up the case and replace the entire cord. You will probably have to get a connector for the part of the power cord inside the monitor also. (If you are good with soldering, you may be able to splice to this connector, using heat-shrink tubing to insulate the connections.)

Hi
I've fixed this problem on a number of monitors recently, its a very simple and easy to fix problem. But you have to take the monitor apart and replace a few electrolyte capacitors from the power supply board.

A local electronics repairer can repair this for you. or you can do this yourself. Any TV, Video, etc repairer can do this simple repair.

Here is a very good picture of bad and good capacitors I found from another fixya Expert.

Your problem is probably 1 or 2 bad capacitors, you will notice a faulty capacitor from its top, if its not flat / level, then it needs to be replaced.

Replace the capacitor with a same voltage cap, the UF rating has to be the same or it can be higher, but not lower. If for example you have one faulty capacitor in the display its 16V (16 volts) and 1000 UF, you can replace it with a 16V 1600UF capacitor for example. Would recommend to replace with the same value.

My guess is it is a programming glitch of the ALT key correctiable by BIOS modification rather than physically addressing.
