Neovo x17a monitor

Are the settings on the video output correct? Is there a green or orange light illuminated. There is a difference between the Power LED and the Signal LED which is green. If you have no signal the LED will remain orange or yellow but not green. If the LED is green, then a signal is getting from the PC but not necessarily good. Check the signal with another monitor or TV if you can. Check the cable.

F-17 neovo monitor stopped working. power light is flashing yellow

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the Monitor goes on protection there are only two possible causes.

1 The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or a broken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then the monitor will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occurr suddenly are a blown capacitor on power board, the inverter board powering up backlight lamp has blown, or a fault on main lcd controller board.
check also the video cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

Check connectors, try moving the video cable, and if the cable is not built in, then also try a replacement cable.

I keep getting the blue screen popping up and i

It's commonly known as the blue screen of Death.
It happens for a number of different reasons:
  1. Your PC is over heating ensure freash air can get in and hot air can escape, your PC components should be free of dust so as to cool the components effectively.
  2. Ensure that your RAM modules are clean and properly seated in the correct orientation.
  3. CPU temperature must not exceed 50 degrees centigrade.
  4. Click here to download CPU temperature monitor.
  5. Run anti-virus scan.
  6. Install as many fans as possible, the bigger ones if possible.
But this problem is mostly due to overheating and then the CPU performs a math error and displays a report which is the blue screen of Death!!!

Your timeous rating of my expertise is much appriciated. It's the thumbs up on the top right hand side of this solution.
Thanks

Neovo x17a starts up then screen goes blank. unit

The problem can be the inverter transformers or lamps assembly.
You can look for number as printed on the transformers and go to www.lcdparts.net to look for pinout and resistance reading. Checking for bad lamps will be more difficult unless you have spare test lamps.
One thing you will have to remember is that the cap can look OK but it can have high ESR, you will need cap tester that can do the test.

How do i open the case of my ag monitor?

Hi,
Every time you purchase any electronic good you get a Manual of that. Since this is very delicate and its locks are hidden, so first get the manual and study that and then slowly unscrew it.Its not very difficult you can do it.

all the best.

AG Neovo X-17a

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.
