My RCA P60925BL won't turn on with remote or using the power button

T.V is plugged in but nothing. It won't turn on using the power button or the remote. Tried unplugging and leaving it but it still won't work. If anyone knows what part I'm going to have to replace could you give me an idea?

SOURCE: RCA TV Remote Malfunction

From your post I understand that the tv is not turning on even if you use the button on tv, if that is the case there is nothing wrong with the remote control, and from the blinking light shows that there is something wrong with the tv. Get it checked by a qualified service guy.

SOURCE: RCA remote

Could it be possible that the remote needs reconfigured? If none of the buttons work, the it could possibly be that you need to re-enter the TV code back into the remote.

RCA's site list codes 25 and 006 for Magnavox cable boxes. Maybe one of these will work for the converter. The RCA site has a link so you can look up codes. Click on "find your remote control codes here" and pick your model number, then the type of device you want to control. If the codes I gave don't work, maybe try some of the other brands of cable box codes. You might find one that will work.

SOURCE: I have this RCA remote and I misplaced the guidebook.

You must first find out why the remote control is not working properly. These remote controls have been having problems with new batteries. The battery holder on the positive side need to be adjusted out to make sure its making contact with the batteries. This may be the reason the remote control is not working. After you find the problem with the functioning of the remote control you can go to the RCA customer support website http://voxrightnow.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/voxrightnow.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1769&p_created=1209688350&p_sid=6-sdxLAj&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9ODE4LDgxOCZwX3Byb2RzPTE1OCZwX2NhdHM9MCZwX3B2PTEuMTU4JnBfY3Y9JnBfc2VhcmNoX3R5cGU9YW5zd2Vycy5zZWFyY2hfbmwmcF9wYWdlPTEmcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD1yY2Egc3lzdGVtIDUgcmVtb3RlIGNvbnRyb2w*&p_li=&p_topview=1 find the codes for the components you want to use with the remote control. Use the codes to make the remote operational . This should be all you have to, if the remote control is working properly. If you cannot get the remote control to work properly, you can call the RCA customer support at this telephone number 1-800-645-4994. Give them the model number of the remote control and ask them for assistance with the problem. I hope this information help you with the problem you are having with your remote control. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!

SOURCE: The remote for my TCL

hi,
First of all you hve to find where is the fault in the remote or in the tv. Checking the remote is very easy. If you have cammera in your mobile phone then switch on the cammera and point the remote to the cammera then press any key. If the remote is working then you can see a white light blinking. IR rays can be vissible through digital cameras. If there is no Light then you have to check the Oscillator cristal inside your remote. If avilabe try to replace the same with a new one with the same specification. You can check the remote with an AM radio also (see the video for that)

If there is white light then you have to check the IR receiver inside your tv. It will be fitted on the frond pannel of your tv. Try to replase the same if there is white light in the remote. Have added the picture of Oscillator cristal (Yellow ) and IR receiver (black) bellow. Also added a video which will help you to repair the remote.

Power button only one that won't turn power on

Have the remote tested either with a tester that most shops have or in a dark room with a digital camera the display will faintly flash when remote pointed at it and buttons pressed.

Also if button does not work (power) unplug the set for a while to see if it will reset. If the tester shows same problem--no working for power or have to press ******* buttons 99% chance something got spilled onto remote and got inside

RCA LCD TV locked up.

Most RCA sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset is different depending on the model. Try each number until you find the one that works for you.

1. Hold down the MENU button on the remote and VOLUME DOWN button on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

2. Hold down the 0 (zero) button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

3. Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. 4- Hold down GO BACK button on the remote and MENU button on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds.

  1. Hold down EJECT button on the front of the TV set and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.

TV won't turn on power light flashes 10 times

Switch off the TV from remote, then switch off the on/off button on the TV, remove the plug pin from the power outlet. Cool off for 48 hours and then retry. If nothing works, better refer it to a qualified service technician.

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

Hello
Without its original remote control, opening the FPA lock of RCA will be difficult. Just try to get one new remote for this set or jut borrow it from any of your friends or relatives who own the same model set, just to open its FPA lock. After opening lock, you can use your brighthouse remote. You can open the lock with one amoung the following procedure.
